Conception II: Children of the Seven Stars

by Psycho Knight

Part 32: Its a quest for glory; Accepting our fate with the power that we own

~Update 15: Its a quest for glory; Accepting our fate with the power that we own~

Alright, we're continuing our march towards the endgame. Chapter 6 is wrapping up in this update, then we'll hit Chapter 7 and the end of our bonding opportunities. Chapter 7 is where the final Heroine Vote will be held.

But I'm getting ahead of myself. Before all of that, we need to meet the completely new Star Child army that will be fighting with us through Chapters 6 and 7.

First up, here is Team A(wful) v.3.

The team is led by Magic Knight Rayearth. The name was suggested by megane. I did like Sword_of_Dusk's name suggestion as well, but he has named the past two team leaders. Also, Magic Knight Rayearth is just too perfect, especially since I could make her mother Chloe and have her look like Hikaru.

Next is Selvaria the Paladin. Named after Selvaria Bles from one of my all time favourite franchises, Valkyria Chronicles (fuck VC2 though). Her mother is Narika.

Finally, the team is rounded out with an actual spellcaster, Nero the Warlock. Nero's mother is Feene.

After their training period, Team A(wful) 3 ends up with a good ATK stat and a somewhat lacking MAT, somehow. It's a bit lacking, but we'll be able to mitigate that shortly. It's already a little offset by the fact that Nero gains access to a skill called Mental Eclipse which is a heavy Dusk Spell attack and very strong. He also gets a 100% Heal Spell for single teams, which is nice.

The other thing that really raises Team A up is the fact that two of the children were lucky enough to get the Dusk Element, which means the entire team's element is Dusk. Feene was the mother of Nero and she was included in the Tri-Mating of Selvaria, which is why they ended up with it.

It's a benefit right now, but it will start to hurt them once Ether element enemies start appearing. For the time being, it's better than being one of the four regular elements. At least they can stand up to other Dusk elements.

Team B is made of the runners up from the main vote and led by Tessa the Witch (Mother: Feene), named by Mokinokaro. It also includes Chrom the Mercenary (Mother: Narika), and Sho the Berserker (Mother: Chloe).

Team B has stats that mostly line up with Team A(wful)'s. They are a good coverage team, as Tessa can cast some decent spells, Chrom allows for good physical attack skills, and Sho provides some status attacks.

Finally, megane's "Team Normal Person" won the random choice team selection. It's led by Magnus the Gambler (Mother: Narika), Mina the Minstrel (Mother: Chloe), and Dominic the Bondsman (Mother: Feene).

Special mention goes to users OOrochi and Commander Keene for the team names "Funny Hat Team" and "Just Like Daddy!" I loved those suggestions. Meanwhile, user Sword_of_Dusk went the name route with Marston the Gunslinger and Morrigan/Morgana the Witch. I really wish I could have included all of these.

I'm actually considering Team Dusk Sword as one of the teams for the final dungeon. Sword_of_Dusk has managed to suggest a name for the class that ended up as Team A(wful)'s leader three times now. I could have a team of Felicia, Adrienne, and Celes.

Anyway, Team C's stats lean heavily towards LUC and MAT. They are also fairly tanky when it comes to taking magic hits. Team C's main strength comes from the skills they have access to. Magnus has skills that can boost the Chain Gauge and Seal enemies (which stops them from using skills), Mina has support skills for boosting other teams MAT stat (which will be helpful for Team A(wful) and a skill that may lower an enemy's MP, while Dominic gets access to a skill called Great Divide that lets the team get some offense going.

So here are the Star Children we'll be rolling with for the next two Labyrinths. Not a bad selection, honestly. It could be optimized a bit if I shifted children around to different teams, but that goes against the whole vote thing. They're fine the way they are anyway.

There's going to be one last Star Child vote after Chapter 7, which will decide the teams we take through the final dungeon.

There are only seven remaining Classes to showcase before then. Four of them will be acquired over the course of the following two Sub-Labyrinth summaries. The other 3 will require items from future Sub-Labyrinths.

I spent a lot of time clearing out Lab Quests while training the Star Children. There are a lot of good equipment rewards to obtain from them. Unfortunately, they require a frustrating reliance on RNG.

The Heroine Armor upgrades all require you to snag armor pieces from treasure chests inside Labyrinths. How long these quests take is entirely dependent on how generous the game is feeling (or your LUC stat, I guess. If you really want to customize multiple Star Children to max that). It's a massive pain in the ass and took me a long time to complete.

They are useful though, if you can put up with the grind to complete the required quest. The Upgrade Parts S+ gives a big bump to ATK and MAT. The Reflector armor upgrades only increase defense and magic defense a little bit, so if you have a low tolerance for RNG then you can probably skip those quests. Going from the Reflector to the Enhanced Reflector only bumped DEF and MDF by about 30.

Some of the Heroine Armor upgrades are a bit on the technical side as well. Frail Counter is an armor that drops DEF and MDF but resists DEF/MDF down. It's probably worth it for those small losses, but I don't bother. It's rare to see DEF/MDF dropped on Wake's team. Stat down effects usually happen as a drawback of certain skills that your Star Children use.

Anyway, I'm going to save you the details of my multi-hour scavenger hunt for random quest items and enemies. It was incredibly boring, and there are no real tips I can offer you since it's all based around RNG. It is a good idea to have a Thief on standby though. If you need an item for a quest that isn't Armor or a usable item, then you likely have to steal them from the gold quest enemies. Also, no, those quest enemies don't always carry the quest item you need. So have fun scouring the Labyrinths for the quest enemies, stealing from them, ending up getting a Mana Stone or some shit, then periodically having to leave the Labyrinth and re-enter because those enemies only appear in a limited quantity on 1 specific floor.

Ugh... What other random bullshit did I do?

Oh, right. This one is actually worth it. After bumping up the City Level to 40, these little babies appear as buyable items. They are expensive, but if you have the cash then pick up a bunch of them and just force feed your Star Children to boost any stats they might lack.

I do exactly that with all the teams. I boost Nero's MAT to try and offset Team A(wful)'s disappointing lack of it. Team B gets ATK boosts, and Team C gets SPD boosts. They only bump the stat by 10 each, but every little bit helps. I drop basically every cent I have on Fruit.

Finally, after a LOT of preparation, I move on to tackling the new Sub-Labyrinths. I won't dwell on these two in detail, because there's already going to be a lot of dungeon stuff in this update. However, I do want to highlight what these two Sub-Labyrinths mean in terms of our Star Children.

First of all, make sure you take a Thief with you that has Pickpocket. It's possible to get the items from just defeating the enemies (it actually happens to me for the second Class item), but stealing is much more reliable.

In both of these Sub-Labyrinths, you'll want to go to the 2nd Floor and look for these enemies, named Aquila. Just use Wake's Dusk Analysis as you run around to make things easier.

The Aquila in Earthworks sometimes carry an item called Chanteuse's Dream. The best thing to do is kill the other enemies in the battle, then just have everyone guard while the Thief (or Thieves) keeps Pickpocketing. Be aware that Aquila can also carry garbage like Mana Stone+. RNG will have to smile on you for these things.

As pictured happening to me here, in the other Sub-Labyrinth, Eternal Rest.

Luckily, this same Aquila was nice enough to drop the Class Item at the end of the battle. The Sub-Labyrinth "Eternal Rest" is where you get the class item "Golden Will".

Eternal Rest is also where I lucked into a new weapon for Wake that's a big upgrade. It loses the DEF bonus of the Shell Blades, but that SPD bonus is much appreciated. RNG needs to be on your side though.

Anyway, so what do the two class items give us? I'll show them off right now instead of making you wait for the next bonding update. I have two other new classes I can show off during those.

Chanteuse's Dream allows you to make the Diva class, which is Female only. Diva's are a Minstrel upgrade that have great MDF and MAT. They just aren't particularly fast.

Golden Will on the other hand, will give us Gun Saint (Male only). Gun Saint is an upgrade over both Gunslinger and Ether Sniper. You also need one of these to unlock another new class. I'll get to that in the next bonding update though.

If you use Minstrel or Gunslinger/Ether Sniper, then there's little reason not to upgrade to these two instead.

Before we move on to the story stuff, there's one last Star Child related thing I have to point out.

Rarely, the Star Child you create will be born with a star in their portrait. I happened to get one while I was grinding for City Level fodder.

A Star will also appear underneath them outside of battles. This means that the Star Child is a "Genius". Genius Star Children automatically have level caps of 99, meaning that you can keep them around indefinitely as their cap is as high as it can go.

It's nice to get, but honestly, there isn't exactly a use for Level 99 Star Children. Star Children with a Level Cap in the 60's range will likely be all you ever need. Monokuma is Level 99, but that doesn't mean you need to be anywhere near that level to beat him.

With ALL of that out of the way, let's get on with the story dungeon. It's time we get this train moving again.

And by moving, I mean a slow agonizing crawl (for me anyway).

It's Chloe's turn by the way. She's switched back to her Alt Costume again, due to the draw during her costume vote.

One, two, three...

Dammit that's way too long. Screw it.

Sway, to and fro, sway!

Crimson Lightning!

Well, at least Chloe's worked out well. Not sure why I chose that one for me. Don't even know what it means.

-Envy Labyrinth-

Why do you guys keep sending them in ahead of us?

He's very fired up. He must really want to prove himself to his father.

He said he was going to find and defeat the Dusk Spawner before you. Don't lose to him!

Then stop letting him have a head start!

Don't worry Selvaria. It's not scary in here. It's just incredibly dull and frustrating. Oh dear lord is it going to be frustrating. There's an enemy type that shows up all over the damn place in here that is the absolute worst to deal with.

And here it is! The very first one I run into!

Akong is a new type of enemy that infests this dungeon along with its color swapped counterparts. It is fucking annoying as sin. Why?

Well, you see that little skill down there called "Lust for Life"?

Some of the bear type enemies had this earlier in the game, but I avoided calling it out because it didn't trigger very often. They have apparently passed it on to the Akong series of enemies, who know how to trigger the skill almost every time. So what does it actually do?

This is what it does. Lust for Life is an enemy skill that allows the monster to survive a lethal hit with 1 HP (as long as it has more than 1 HP when it is hit). The Akong line of enemies trigger this irritating skill nearly every fucking time you try and kill them. I never did an exact analysis, but the trigger rate is likely north of 70%.

Combined with sky-high DEF, solid MDF, and nearly 9000 HP, these things are a constant bitch to kill. They aren't overly strong attackers, but being able to survive a lethal hit means that they will get at least one hit on you, possibly even a few, before you can kill them. This will slowly whittle you down as you wander around the dungeon, as well as waste your time.

There's a quest that wants you to kill 9 of these bastards one at a time, by the way. Have fun with that (Please do not accept that quest. The rewards aren't even worth it. Save yourself the time.)

They can also show up in groups. So. Much. Fun.

Advancing to the 6th Floor gives us a mini-boss distraction.

That one's quick, and it can do Paralysis attacks. But it's got a weak defense against magic, so use that to your advantage.

Oh, don't worry. I'm ready for him this time.

It should be stronger than the one you defeated before, so don't relax.

As Chlotz mentioned, this is a repeat of a mini-boss we already had a few dungeons ago. The little bugger is stronger this time, but so are we. Namely, the thread has provided the Star Children with actual magic offense this time.

Substantial magic offense.

The damage doesn't seem especially impressive at first, but that's because we're hitting Dusk with Dusk. Team B used Triad Gravel Storm (the third tier of Earth Magic) a few turns before this and only hit for 2,400 on a weak point.

This battle is more of a curb-stomp than the last time. Wake and Chloe wandered off to deal with the adds while the Star Children dealt with Gloomia. Nothing to it, especially since we're rocking a Dusk element team of our own.

After the battle we're just unceremoniously dumped back to the dungeon to continue the long haul.

This dungeon does have a lot of good equipment upgrades scattered around in treasure chests. The trap frequency of Purple Chests has gone up considerably by this point, but it's still worth the risk. Magnus manages to get two minor weapon upgrades, which is nice because the shop isn't selling Gambler weapons yet so he's been stuck with his starter weapon this entire time.

Meanwhile, Wake gets a ton of upgrades to armor and weapons throughout this dungeon. Battlesuit is better than the Rabbit Armor in every way, and by the time I get to the end of this dungeon Wake will have picked up Battlesuit+ and Battlesuit++.

Getting to the 11th Floor scores us another mini-boss, once again without any kind of story segment attached.

Hey! It's Sparf!

That one wields powerful Dusk Magic. Also, it's got an attack that'll drop your Speed, so watch out.

Silly name aside, Sparf is actually pretty threatening. Chlotz is correct in that this guy is swinging some powerful Dusk magic. Triad Curse and 2000+ MAT is a little scary.

Thankfully, our bonding with the heroines has provided us with an upgraded Seventh Burst. Chloe's is Petal Courante. The animation is basically the same as Petal Waltz, but it ends with a new pose.

It's pretty effective despite the element disadvantage. Feene's probably would have wrecked Sparf's shit.

Taking out Sparf should be your top priority. The adds will probably start a space or two away and waste their turns getting into position, so you can deal with them after.

That being said, you should still be careful with them. Dusk Element attacks are just bad news. This guy used Dual Curse by the way. Sparf getting off a Triad Curse would have really hurt.

Pretty good rewards for beating them. Star Drop EX is a good elixir item in case you've managed to really burn out a team's HP and MP.

In case you weren't lucky or persistent enough to get Sol Cavalier from the Eternal Rest Labyrinth, the quest to kill Sparf will reward with the slightly inferior Ray Cavalier for a whopping 20,000 Glow.

There's also Aura Sword, which I think is added to the store after the same quest. Aura Sword has the chance to Seal, so it's a really good weapon for the sword-wielding Star Children. Scoring Seal on an enemy is always great since it neuters their ability to use anything other than basic physical attacks.

On top of all the Battlesuit upgrades, Wake also snags Battle Gear, which is an even bigger upgrade. I think Wake goes through four armor upgrades in this one dungeon. I must have gotten real lucky.

The only other highlight of the dungeon is that I was insane enough to do that stupid shell enemy quest. The worst part? I picked up both of those rewards just wandering around the dungeon. I'm sad now...

All the other enemies were just palette swapped upgrades of previous enemies. The wolves, those weird Crux enemies, the damn Akongs, the floaty eyeball monsters, you really didn't miss anything.

Floor 16 is where we finally catch the Dusk Spawner and can be done with this trash heap of a Labyrinth. Of course, it's a trash heap that had a lot of hidden treasures in it, but it's a trash heap nonetheless.

I'm going to regret asking, but what is it?

Alec's team has encountered the Dusk Spawner, but are having trouble with it. You need to get to them ASAP!

Of course they are. This is why I told them not to rush the damn things. Hopefully Alec learns his lesson from this.

Come on everyone! We need to go pull Alec's ass out of the fire!

Could you please watch your language around the Star Children? It's a bad influence.

They have Ruby as a babysitter. You really think I'm the one being a bad influence?

Ooh! That reminds me! Mom? What does Ruby mean when she says that Mr. Enzea is "delicious"? Is he made of chocolate?

...

Okay, okay. Point taken. Let's just go and save the Assault Squad.

That doesn't look like something Alec and company should be messing with.

*The Dusk Spawner lashes out and the screen flashes white*

Triche!

Ugh... We're in trouble here...

Dammit, it's stronger than I had anticipated...

Core Assault Squad, it's too dangerous to keep fighting! Retreat, now!

No! I've come too far to back down now!

Man, there's some deja vu happening here. Difference is that Wake rocked the shit out of that first Dusk Spawner. Alec, you may want to cut and run in this case. Everyone is now aware that the Dusk Spawner can't be killed and has to be sealed instead.

Hang on, did Ruby even give these guys a Sealing Doll? She must have, right? I mean, the Dusk Spawners having to be sealed should be relatively common knowledge now. There's no way she could be that incompetent again, right?

Alec, shouldn't we pull out like she says?

No, I can still do this! If I can increase the density of the Neo Ether...

Alec? What are you doing?

Don't do that!

I can't fully use my Star Energy with the Ether Density this low. If I could use the same power as in the outside world, this thing would be dead!

Oh Christ, she didn't actually tell them this thing can't be killed, did she? Goddammit, Ruby. I mean, you can't blame Wake. Wake's job isn't to brief Alec's team, and he would likely assume that you did the job you are supposed to do and told them all.

Rus, Clau! I need you to back me up until the God Brace raises the Ether Density!

.....

What are you waiting for!?

These people are so weak. Aren't they, Rus?

What...!?

*The screen starts shaking*

What the--!?

*The screen flashes to white, then cuts back to Wake's team*

There they are!

...Wake! Triche tried to protect me, and...!

*Triche slowly slides on screen*

N-Nngh...

No...

Triche!

He requires immediate special treatment. The Core Assault Squad must return at once.

The two of us would have been fine taking this thing on...

That's our job. The two of you need to get Alec and Triche out of here.

.....

Are you deaf? I said get them out of here!

...I'm going to be very clear. Don't order me around.

Please, like these two try-hards are anything to be scared of.

Do what I say you little shit. I don't have time for this from you.

Heehee... You're so dreamy when you're all riled up, Rus... I love it.

Ruby, pull the leash on your little science experiments or you'll be looking for replacements! I will not hesitate to kill them if it means getting Triche out of here quicker.

Rus, Clau! Listen to what he says and bring those two back, now!

We'll leave the rest to you all.

Wake! That thing is really strong! No wonder Alec's team had trouble with it!

You really think we're going to struggle against this thing?

Of course! If you listen to what I'm about to tell you, it'll be a breeze. Alright, here we go. This is our first Light-element boss. It'll use powerful healing skills, so this battle may run long. Non-elemental attacks are effective against Light-elemental enemies. Remember that!

Yeah, yeah. Just sit back and watch, Chlotz.

Are you guys all ready to show everyone what the A-Team is capable of?

Yeah! Team A is the best!

I think you mean Team B is Best.

Nuh-uh!

You're both wrong. Team C is Clearly the best. I'd bet everything on it.

It's just a saying! The A-Team refers to all of us! Stay focused!

It's going down!

What your mother slash aunt said! Everyone get it!

Chlotz is really overstating this fight. Leviathan is a big step down from the previous Dusk Spawner. First of all, it has no helpers. Second of all, while it is Ether/Light Element and therefore super effective against everything, the last Dusk Spawner technically had the same advantage.

Leviathan also has a relatively weak MAT, so while Dual Shine would hurt, it's not something to be really concerned about. It also lacks the High Dusk Release skill that the previous Spawner had.

We also have a new tool in the arsenal at this point as a result of all the bonding time with the heroines. Bonding Drive is an attack that uses BP instead of MP, and quite a lot of it, but it has the benefit of being elementless. Elementless attacks are the only super effective thing against Light (it's also the other effective element against Dusk).

It's not especially elaborate (a ball of light just slowly drops down on the enemy and explodes), but hot damn does it pack a punch. This is enough to knock Leviathan down to half health on the first turn.

Team B jacks up Wake and Chloe's SPD using the Overwatch Skill. They also manage to avoid the chance of lowering their own ATK.

Mental Eclipse is decidedly less powerful against a Light enemy.

Leviathan uses its first turn to cast Dusk Release, which causes a pitiful amount of damage.

Its physical attack hurts a bit more though.

Team A(wful) manages to chain it using their Crescent Attack Skill, at which point the battle is over.

Team C and Wake/Chloe take some pot shots at it and it crumples. Not sure where this 'healing' stuff Chlotz talked about was.

Oh well. We get a ton of cash and some good EXP for taking it out. The Fruit is nice, but now that they can be bought they are a little less special.

And that's it. Wake chimes in to say that the Spawner is sealed, but there's no dialogue from Ruby or Chlotz.

Who's ready for a repeat of the first trip into a Dusk Circle?

-Laboratory-

Did we not agree on how Neo Ether should be used?

I was told that raising the Ether Density above its current setting could be harmful.

But adapting to a situation is a basic strategy when in the field.

If God's Gift and his team hadn't come, all of you would've been in grave danger!

Chief Ruby, the two of us would have been able to defeat that monster.

I don't know how strong you two are... But since you refuse to work together as a team, I cannot allow you on this squad. Not even if Enzea wishes it.

Thank you! Finally! Someone called out Ruby for her blatant power-tripping! Hell, somebody got called out for their power-tripping in general! Too bad it was the creepy girl. Whatever, I'll take what I can get.

You'd better not be underestimating me, little girl.

As much as I'm enjoying this, I want to know how Triche is doing. Do you know, Alec?

He was immediately taken to a hospital. His injuries are severe, but he will survive.

That's impressive. Most people don't live through the '[BLANK] days until [OCCASION]' curse. Count your blessings Triche.

That's good to hear.

At this rate, the Core Assault Squad is sure to be disbanded.

That's what you get when you're too busy looking at the goal to see the rough road ahead.

Ngh...

You realize that applies to yourself as well?

Don't recall saying it didn't.

-Hospital Room-

Hey Triche. We came to check on you. Good to see you're conscious.

You were hurt because you protected me... I'm truly sorry for what happened.

It's only natural for an upperclassman to protect their charming underclassman.

All I pray for now is that my holy power doesn't disappear before my injuries heal.

About that... Depending on how things go, the squad may be disbanded. That... is a failure on my part, too.

Don't worry, the Core Assault Squad isn't going anywhere.

It is for the world's sake, after all.

Of course.

But don't push yourself too hard, okay?

Yes...

That goes for you, too. Just focus on healing up.

-Serenity Chamber-

Happy Starmas... Whoa, wait a sec. Alec?

Is it odd for me to be here?

No, it's fine. I just thought it was rare to see you hanging out like this.

I'm just killing some time until the Star God's baptism.

Yeah, there's not exactly much else to do considering everything is cancelled.

This is an annual festival to celebrate the Star God, after all.

So who're you going with to receive the baptism at the Church today?

What do you mean?

What, you haven't decided yet?

When distinguished Disciples receive the blessing, they must have a partner.

Never really planned on doing that whole song and dance, to be honest. What about you, Alec?

I've asked Luce to go with me.

Kind of figured that would be your answer.

Well... Depending on the Disciples... Some people decide on who to take with them to the Star Conception Festival now, too.

I've told you before. Luce is just my friend.

Dude, you should think about how she fe-- Er, anyway, how about you?

(Good job dodging that conversation, Chlotz.)

I don't know. Do I even have time left to track someone down?

Yeah, but not much time. If you don't hurry up, you won't be able to be in the ritual.

You make that sound like a bad thing.

Dude, just answer the question. You really think the Church is going to let God's Gift skip out on this?

Fair point. Well...

We get another heroine event choice. Feene and Narika have had their turns, so that leaves Chloe.

Well look who it is.

Yeah, that figures.

(Fuck you, Star God.)

-Church of Aterra-

...Mm. This concludes the baptism ritual.

Unfortunately for Chloe, this heroine choice event lasts for two fucking sentences.

-Downtown-

Glad that's over with. She sure seemed surprised to be asked, though.

Well, yeah, anyone would be surprised if they were suddenly asked for that.

Still, she agreed pretty quickly to it. She was even blushing a little, too.

You seem suspiciously okay with that.

I've learned that getting mad only encourages you.

Now you're just sucking all the fun out of it. Oh well, it's not like Chloe and me are an item.

You're really dense, aren't you...

Well, have a merry Starmas!

*Chlotz wanders off to be mopey somewhere*

There is another heroine choice event here. I cycled back around to Feene since all three focus heroines had their turn, but now that I look back on it I probably should have picked Chloe instead, since her previous event was so short. Ehhh...

*Feene runs in*

Something wrong, Feene? You're pretty out of breath.

U-Um... Well... Do you have some time to spare?

Something to give me? Sure, I've got time.

Oh... OK. Let's take a stroll then, shall we...?

-Park-

Hahhh... It has gotten so cold. Oh... It's even started to snow a little...

Not a fan of it?

No, nothing like that...

(Oh, wait. Dammit, that's right. She said she had something to give me. Uhhh....)

(Wait! Emergency gift! Good thinking, me from the past. Never thought that money-grubber at the gift shop would save my ass like this.)

Hold on a second, Feene. I got something for you too.

Huh...? F-For me? Thank you so very much! Can I... open it?

It's your gift. You can open it whenever you feel like it.

What could it be...? M-My heart is racing. Phew... I need to catch my breath...

Let's see...... This is... a fountain pen?

You're constantly writing letters to your friends back home, so I figured you could write with this.

Thank you so much!

It's quite lovely... I'm so happy...

Feene, you approached me first and didn't even know I had something for you. How would that be possible?

O-Oh... right...

Th-This is... a gift from me. I would be grateful if you would accept it...

Can I open it?

Y-Yes...

Oh sweet, a scarf.

Th-That's right... I knitted it myself... Oh, I'm sure you can see that it is... ugly... I-I'm sorry! I'll buy you a better one!

Feene, it's fine. I like this.

Huh...?

I said I like it. It's nice. I don't need a store bought one. You put a lot of work into this one.

Oh god! It's hideous! Plain white!? People won't be able to stop staring!

Its shape... is like... a trapezoid...

It is something I can wear, right?

Oh, of course you can, but... But wearing such an ugly thing in public...

I've already got it on.

I-I'm truly sorry... I'm truly sorry!! *sniff* *sniff*

Feene, why are you crying?

I-I don't know... Tears just suddenly came out...

Hang on, I'll get it.

I-I'm sorry... *sniff*

Another touch event. I had to fumble with this for a bit before I figured out what the hell the game wanted me to do. It says "Rub", so I held down the A button and motioned around the face, but that doesn't do it. It seems like you're just supposed to circle around the eyes one at a time. Eventually it works out like it's supposed to.

That does it.

I-I'm sorry... It seems I lost control of myself... Your kind words moved me to tears... I've calmed down now. I'm alright...

You freaked me out a little there, crying like that out of nowhere.

I was surprised myself... I never saw myself as a crybaby...

*sigh* But I feel better now.

It's been snowing for a while. This will definitely pile up.

Yeah, we should probably get back before it gets too cold.

*giggle* You should be fine with my ugly scarf. After all, you look very warm.

I'll be fine, but you're going to freeze. Come on, let's get a move on.

That's a wrap for Chapter 6. The next update will have us entering endgame territory. There's only one more Deadly Sin Dusk Circle remaining. The Star Conception Festival is approaching. There's only two bonding events left for the focus heroines. Three Star Children classes left. It's all coming together now.
