Do you use save states? If so, go back and drag him into the latest time awake you possibly can before it counts as a care mistake and go about it that way. It's what I did on the one time I entered that tournament. I got my ass kicked mind.

Okay, so this technically won't happen, since I know that, because Ringo's stats are below 999, I cannot win.
Okay dammit, I'll register!

Well we have to wait until it's time for the tournament to happen, so lets hit Ringo with Maxwell's Toy Hammer.
Not half-bad gains, I must say.
It turns out that I have to register before letting him sleep then have him fight immediately after waking up.

AI fights are represented with icons flying at other icons, and one icon gets brutalized by two and it loses.

And he uses Charm Perfume, which frequently inflicts confuse.
And he's buffing his already absurd stats with Mass Morph. Ringo's attacks deal 1 damage.
AND he has a finisher! Fuck!
Ringo didn't stand a chance.
Even if I did, Ringo would only have partial recovery between matches while his opponents would be at 100%.
Did I mention that tournaments are rigged against you? Tournaments are rigged against you.
At least I got some meat...
