Quickstart guide:
--- BLARGLE SO MANY VIDEOS WHAT SHOULD I WATCH ---

Q: Mayans? Hobos? Stage6? Vimeo?
A: For the first xx or so updates I will be recording two parallel playthroughs;
I like using multiple video hosts, because it makes things easier for you, the viewer. But seriously, fuck Google Video. I'm not using that anymore.

F.A.Q

Q: What's Mayans and Hobos?
A: For the first few chapters of the game, I'm doing two separate playthroughs to show of the interactivity of the environments and the flexibility of the storyline. The two feature basically the same situations, but the commentary and character behavior is drastically different. When much of the flexibility and interactivity is lost and only one viable path remains open, which happens disappointingly soon, I'll be doing one Maybos video per update, alternating between Mayans and Hobos commentary style.

TL;DR version
Mayans =
Hobos =

Q:What is Fahrenheit?
A: Short answer, the European title of the dramatic adventure game Indigo Prophecy. Long answer, it's the second game developed by Quantic Dream and directed by David Cage. It's the trainwreck that comes after body-hopping David Bowie (Omikron: The Nomad Soul) and before the Uncanny Valley (Heavy Rain).

Q: Wait, trainwreck?
A: Fahrenheit is an interesting, engaging and well-crafted game.
It is also batshit insane.

Q: Who are you?
A: You may remember me as the guy who hissed vague threats involving meta-essence at Boojums in Let's Play American McGee's Alice. I also failed horribly at a Barbie game once.

Q: Subtitles? I hate reading, why isn't there any vocal commentary?
A: Fahrenheit is pretty dialog/monolog-heavy game, so the game would keep interrupting me. I'm not one to talk over cutscenes, and much of Fahrenheit is basically Xenosaga with Shenmue-esque QTEs thrown in.

Q: What's Mayans and Hobos?
A: For the first few chapters of the game, I'm doing two separate playthroughs to show of the interactivity of the environments and the flexibility of the storyline. The two feature basically the same situations, but the commentary and character behavior is drastically different. When much of the flexibility and interactivity is lost and only one viable path remains open, which happens disappointingly soon, I'll only be doing one Maybos video per update, alternating between Mayans and Hobos commentary style.

Q:LordMune's fun-time educational informative Let's Play corner? What on earth made you think that was a good idea?
A: Since I'm doing the subtitles somewhat in-character, I need a space dedicated to just talking about the game- with the fantastic Let's Play Archive in mind, I decided to incorporate this space (read: me talking) into the videos, removing text from the updates altogether. It's at the very end of the videos, and the same for both Mayans and Hobos, unless stated otherwise. You can skip these segments if you don't want to listen to me slowly falling to pieces over how a game could go so terribly wrong.

Q: What's up with all the different video hosts?
A: I like having a wide range of options. The links are arranged in order of quality, top to bottom.
Stage6 offers superior video quality, and it, along with Vimeo, allows you to download the original .avi (or renamed .divx). Unfortunately my internet connection has been behaving erratically these past few days, so that's why not all videos are uploaded to every host- stage6 is notoriously unreliable.

Q: What about updates?
A: My goal is to update twice a week.

PROTAGONISTS

Lucas Kane
Killer by happenstance. Superman by chance.

Mayans: In touch with his inner sociopath, Lucas refuses to be the hunted and assumes the mantle of the hunter. While shaken by the events around him, he is determined to stay one step ahead of New York's finest. He pursues the answers to what is happening to him with an almost frightening intensity.

Hobos: Not the brightest crayon in the box, not entirely unfamiliar with strange visions of things that aren't there, and somewhat hyper to boot, Lucas tries to make the best out of the situation- sometimes this entails ignoring said situation alltogether.

Carla Valenti
Police inspector by day, not much else by night. She soon realizes this latest murder is but part of a bigger whole.

Mayans: A workaholic. Arguably the best the NYPD has to offer.

Hobos: Carla doesn't really get along with anyone, least of all Tyler. She likes it best when the only people she has to deal with are homicide victims at crime scenes.

Tyler Miles
Carla's sidekick. Recent events have taken their toll on his otherwise cheery demeanor, but he remains an outgoing, competent investigator.

Mayans: Tyler's relationship with his fiancée Samantha is getting more strained by the day, as this recent murder is turning out to be a deeper rabbit-hole than anyone could have imagined. It's a tough balancing act.

Hobos: So lazy. So bored! Carla sucks.
