Cu Chulainn - 3



Ideally it would be his Hawaiian shirt costume from his hollow ataraxia appearance, but can't have everything, I suppose. Cu's final stage is based on Flame Poem 4, again, so it's nothing too bad. One of the easiest mission setups, actually.

I don't know what kind of Servants they have, but we're veterans of SE.RA.PH. I'm not going to let some freshly summoned new kids show me up. Are you hearing this, Archer? Be glad I'll be spearheading things until the very end!

Oh, I'm glad. We've never faced anything like these things. You're the most suited out of all of us to battle against an enemy army.

...Well, that's just gross. Not a single sarcastic quip for me? Hah! We really are in deep shit, aren't we? All right, I'm feeling it! The time is right, and my gut's telling me I'm gonna find my greatest prey right here!



So Cu and Nero have both mentioned Ath NGabla at various points in this thread, and his power-up animation specifically invokes it. Basically he carves four runes into the ground: Algiz, Nauthiz, Ansuz, and Ingwaz, and upon invoking it, whatever fight Cu is in becomes a one-on-one battle to the death, where retreat is impossible and someone's not leaving with their life. If an enemy Servant were to see it, they would be forced to fight Cu themselves.

Kind of a lot of drama for something that briefly enhances his basic attacks, but it's a neat tidbit. I'll give you a clearer picture of the runes later in this stage.



This time I tried to change things up by allowing the enemy some semblance of success by taking over a couple of my Sectors at the bottom of the map. Of course, the trade-off there is Iskandar's career as a conqueror will be severely overrated by the end of this stage.

Got another really good launch out of the last Aggressor. I'm sure he appreciated it.



It was 41 seconds between my arrival in the Sector and Iskandar's retreat. Poor guy didn't stand a chance. As an aside...



S S S T has a *really* long range. The effective range is good from even this distance. It may not strictly be a projectile, but it can sure keep someone at bay.

I actually hadn't noticed until now that I hadn't healed at all during this stage. Guess I've been having too much fun, like Cu. Shortly after I finished the King of Conquerors off, then quickly got into a fight with Jeanne. Cu's response to her "Honor as a Ruler line" is...

I've never heard of that class, but whatever. Your loss will be swift.



As far as this particular matchup goes, Cu definitely has the upper hand. Cu is *much* faster in terms of movement and attacking than Jeanne, and the only thing you really have to worry about is taking damage, since Cu's defense are fairly low. Even so, just have fun putting together your own combos, because there's really nothing to this fight.

What a pitiful flag bearer. Bitten to death by a mongrel. You couldn't even single-handedly stave off a mad dog running around on the battlefield, and you dared call yourself a Top Servant.

Oh don't get me wrong. It's not like I'm gonna let you have a proper fight or anything now. You were saying something about "single-handedly". So the moment you try to move, I'll kill you before you can lift one finger.
