Part Fifty-Four: Comeback

Nothing's ever easy, is it?

Even the dead don't get any rest.

It's not for lack of trying, though.

The kids came pretty far, it would be pretty weak to give up here.

And if being dead means having to deal with these two fucks for all of eternity, I'll take hellbeasts and embodiments of evil any day.

: Our souls are yours, our energies one with yours. Now stand, Warriors of the Light!

And we're back!

Let's mill about a bit, then, shall we?

Shouldn't all these people be, like, dead or not able to get here or something? It really seems like being a Warrior of the Light means nothing other than being able to change clothes.

Look at this place, it's so purple.

Oh look, it's fuckin' Doga again. I really thought it would stick this time.

A cool thing is how the lower screen moves around to show off different parts of the Dark World in this scene.

Basically, Xande's soul got eaten by darkness and now it's going to fill the Light World.

Not soon enough!

And with that, at long last, we never have to deal with Doga or Unei again!

: To the world of darkness, then!
: Let's go!
: We can do it!
: Onward!

Well, there's the entrance to the World of Darkness, the final dungeon of the game.

Let's look at numbers instead!

The first thing to notice is that my level is low for this. It would have been a good idea to go grind out ten levels as Black Belts before the Crystal Tower, but I decided to just go with it. Keeps the game interesting.

Sephy has greasy fast speed, and he's okay at other stuff, too.

Jecht can heal very well, which is good, because it's all he does ever.

Kuja is good for jumps, just like she should be. She can take a hit on the ground, too, which is good because you can't heal in the air.

Golbez is still Golbezing or whatever. He does okay damage, but he's not the main engine of the party. More like support damage, really, but he's still useful.

Anyway, yes, into the World of Darkness...

...next time, suckers!
