Pros:
+Draw Out is an incredibly good skillset
+Blade Grasp is insanely good
+Strong weapons and High PA
+Above average MP and MA
Cons:
-Low HP
-MA-based command on a physical job
-Katanas cost a lot
In case you were wondering why Norma rarely spends time in Samurai, it's because the job itself is fairly mediocre. It's got really low HP for a heavy armor job, and none of its stats besides PA are really high. That great PA doesn't go anywhere because the MA-based Draw Out is just unfair. Besides the really high damage, you've got healing and positive statuses and the annoyingly rare MP damage!
Katanas are good weapons beyond Draw Out, because they have really high WP, that's supposed to be balanced by being Brave-based. Being brave-based never increases damage, as having 100 brave has it effectively be WP*PA again. They don't have the resilience of Knights, due to low HP and no shields, though.
So, yeah, Samurai are means to an end, the end being "violent death master" because Draw Out does that. They aren't a bad bad job purely because of how fucking good Draw Out is.
