Part 181: Chime 6: Ring O' bell of Passing
Chime 6: Ring O' bell of Passing
Last time we fought off a karla recolor and this time we engage MODE 7!

Unfortunatly, the earth crystal we are after has just been taken into Azys Lia.

There's class changing in this game? (there isn't)

Luckly for us, Fusei is a level 60 in mining to grab this adamantite.

this turtle is basically the big boss that starts foretelling the end of !gaia's usefulness. Innate Shell and Protect makes this fight a slog for poor fusei due to having to rely on Stalactite for major damage.

sadly this took more then one attempt due to poor !gaia luck. Fool's light only hits for double digits in this fight fyi.

Have I mentioned that it hits like a truck? Because it does.. but hey, I'll take the victory.

With the adamantite installed we head heavensward to take on the floating ruins of the Allagans.

Let's just say that my poor potion stockpile suffered, I drew 4 sets of two rocket launchers for the side guns.

the launchers can luckly be a target by L5 Death from !Blue.

Vampire also is basically immortality as long as you can have your mana pool hold out. This was aslo the finishing blow to poor Soul Cannon.

Behold, the mighty trap of Dr Clapperclaw!

!Blue still stronk, News at eleven. (I swap to !white after this)

Marcy! Is that actually you or your well payed stunt double?

Is king tycoon trying to become a primal here? *shrug*

Flying ruins tend to end up this way in Final Fantasy games. *looks over at FF6*

The Shivas throughout the ages always are the epitome of grace.

thank you Flame Ring grind for making shiva easy.

normally the meteor bosses are really easy, even for Geos but...

Then you learn the bombs can come back from a complete wipe.

tossing money at the problem didn't work either, I'm not exactly Trump here.
It took 9 attempts, 9 different losses to other abilities, !White, !Time, !Blue, they all failed one by one until I decided to play dirty.

and cracked open the universal breaking powers of Walter and !Mix: Ether+Maiden's Kiss = Lilith's kiss which drains MP. No MP, No Arise or Self-Destruct.

Titan was a walk to north mountain with !catch then release in a random encounter for float, !White and a joke from there.

Sorry Lord of Crags, Float stops you from knocking me off the platform with landslide.

!White once again proving to be my best buddy for Chimera recolors.

Whee!

Next time: Ringing across the Big Bridge
Deaths: 13 (2 Dr Clapperclaw, 9 Bomb meteor boss, 2 random encounters in flying ruins)
Level: 32
