This is kind of a weird support and I don't know what event they're referring to. 40-50 years ago puts it about 20-30 years before the events of Blazing Sword, and the only connection to either of the characters that Blazing Sword gives us is Canas, who's not exactly the type to gossip about what his mom did 20 years prior.
