Part 24
Cutting through here should get us to the army's HQ.
Or you could just fly to it directly? Is there any reason you can't do this?
Let's hope we get there in time.
In time for... something.
It's the same as the last time we were here, but with better enemies. What do you want from me?
Fine. Look, here's a picture of the jerks that lay mines. Are you happy now?
What now?
...This is as far as you go. I cannot allow you to jeopardize the Master's plans.
Are you a member of the Crimson Blow?
The same.
I was beginning to think it was just Genoce and he was only pretending to have a team.
If you know who I am, you will also know that I am sworn to protect my Master to the death. Back off... if you value your life.
I actually didn't know that, but hey. Now I do.
I've got my own score to settle. Move it!
On one hand, Rook can't jump. On the other hand, look at those beams! Holy shit!
Fall back, Rook! Don't overdo it. I'll
Fixed that for you.
Forgive me... He was stronger than I anticipated.
I know.
You're still siding with Ark? Why?
They have a lot in common.
He's a convenient tool, nothing more. Still, the Colonel has his uses.
Where does Felder enter the picture?
That's none of your damn business!
Why are you doing this?
I've got my own plans... Ones I wouldn't expect you to understand.
Insert another fight. This is getting old fast.
Master! ...We're running out of time.
To do... something.
I know. Well, Albert... we'll have to finish this another day.
But...!
Still... You think killing Ark will solve all your problems? Are you really THAT naïve?
At this point, I really don't care. All that matters is getting revenge!
Suit yourself. Just remember... If you get in my way again, you're dead.
Ahahahaha... oh, you're serious?
I could get more if I took the time to beat every enemy in the level, but I'll save that for grind sessions.
What's he playing at?
I'd like to make jokes that go somewhere besides "Albert is dense/ not paying attention" but he does not make it easy.
Worry about it later. Ark's the top priority now!
...Yeah.
A shop and a new level opened up. I restocked on the essentials but didn't have enough left over to buy anything, so I moved on to the next stage. Don't worry, I'll get all the new stuff.
I remember this place.
What's the hold-up?
Relax. We'll be at Headquarters soon. See? We're already over Beeg army base.
You ought to keep your distance. If...
Damn it! They just picked us up on radar!
Shouldn't we pull back...? If we get caught between Beeg and the Army HQ...
We've come too far to turn back. Get ready to launch!
Where do you think you're going?
We've got to take down some of Beeg's firepower!
I'm afraid it's our only recourse, ma'am.
That's too dangerous!
Even though making frontal assaults on enemy bases is something Albert has done numerous times.
We can't turn back now. Please understand.
Oh no! Well anyway, in this level you need to reduce the green "total enemy" bar to zero. There's an entire base to fight in, but you're best off just hanging around the entrance and blowing up enemies until it ends.
It's mostly these guys and some of the punching ones.
They're not coming after us in a hurry.
Pretty good gains, since they force you to kill everything.
Sorry to worry you, Brenda.
Sorry? SORRY? Are you DELIBERATELY trying to get yourself killed?
Ease off! There was no other way!
But...
Come on, ma'am. Ark's waiting!
But I kept him waiting while I went back and replayed levels for money and experience. Let's do a nice little overview of that.
Not bad, not bad.
Clark gained two levels. The first gain unlocked his version of the Silver Fang Wanzer, but I couldn't find it in any shops.
Here's the new Silver Fang Wanzer. I also got a level 2 Hard Knuckle.
Ok, that's all. Tune in next week for the Army HQ. Albert vs Ark!
