Part 79: Taking the Spear of Heroes 2
Welcome back!

Yeah, of course that was the right choice.

That looks like some sort of Heroic Spear. Better not touch it.

Being a key item at the end of a dungeon, the Spear of Heroes is clearly load-bearing, and the tower begins shaking.

Yup.

"It", in this case, being the important, mysterious, void-floating, possibly metaphorical staircase.

Welp. There's only one thing left that can fall, really.

Feena did choose the right path, but the Spirit Stone is saving us now.

I love how matter-of-fact Gadwin is here.

And it's at this point that this screen begins shaking.

It's crazy how much Feena's eyes bug out here.

Feena turns back around to face the mirror here.
Also, all this screen shaking is making gifs hard to get.

And with that, Gadwin grabs ahold of the others...

... And hauls ass with them out of the tower.

The tower shakes, and, with a bright flash, vanishes completely.

Gadwin is supposed to be a serious character. Supposed to be.

Yep. She kicks Gadwin in his armored shins, and only starts crying because she misses her best friend.
The rest of this cutscene is voiced out. If you've been wondering why this game gets a lot of flak for bad voice acting, this is your first big example.

There's something about this line. Not sure why I like it so much, but I do.

Sue desperately tries to change the subject.

And on that note, we are unceremoniously given control back so that we can walk back down the mountain. What with all them mold birds back again.
See you next time when we get back to Dight! And actually have some gameplay!
