: Nothing much, really. I just wanted to talk to you.

: Well, if that's the way you want to blow your one and only day off, it's fine with me.

: Yeah, I wanted to do it unofficially, so we could talk less formally.

: So, what do you want to talk about?

: Since you're an ambassador, can you tell me about...

: Burnstein is a great kingdom with a rich history. King Eliotte is doing a fine job protecting it. I think the people of Burnstein feel secure, so they are honest, even when not under direct watch. The only thing that is lacking, really, is a sense of flair or creative brilliance relative to Rolandia.

: Brilliance?

: Yes. They are productive, but not especially creative.

: [Yawn] That's an interesting viewpoint. Will you tell that to Max if you see him? I'm sure he'd be interested.

: You intrigue me, Wein Cruz.

: I think that Rolandia is a country where anything is possible. All they lack is a sense of urgency in the way they defend their borders.

: Sense of urgency?

: Yes. They lack vigilance in defending their borders from encroachment, thinking that others will fix their problems.

: That's a fairly harsh assessment. Is it because that's your home country?

: Perhaps...Still, I do believe that it's better now than it was before. For better or worse, that's thanks to Venzern.

: Hmmm...

: You intrigue me, Wein Cruz.

: Rolandia hasn't really recovered from the chaos of a year ago. It's definitely the most unstable.

: You mean after what Venzern did?

: Right. General Weber is trying his best to calm the situation, but he's a soldier and not a politician. Until a leader with political ability appears there, the situation will remain unstable.

: That's awful...

: The more I know you, the clearer that becomes.

: What do you mean?

: Your ability to move Lyell's heart to do the right thing showed a gift that I do not possess. You have my gratitude for that.
Burnstein Soldier: The king has ordered you back to the castle at once!

: That doesn't sound good.

: We'd better hurry back...something's definitely not right.

: I wish I could be more help, but this is the first time I've been this far. All we can do is keep moving.

: How can you be sure that Max is at the very top?

: This tower was formerly the castle of the Growsian ruler. He placed the transmission device at the top to communicate with his subjects. It was common knowledge.

: That makes sense.

: I just don't know if this passage connects to that point.

: We'll soon find out, I guess. But that reminds me...why did you volunteer to come with me? With only two we're more vulnerable.

: You would have done the same thing in my position.

: Heh...so we're a party of three, then?

: Something like that.

: Well, I wish we had more time to talk, but Max is getting away...and we have a job to do.

: Well then, let's stop him before it's too late!

Narrator: People had returned to leading their own lives.

: Carmaine! It's been a long time...have you been on assignment?

: I just finished, as a matter of fact.

: I've been working hard to bring peace to this world, just like you.

: Like me?! What's left to do? I think we already achieved that!

: Stopping Maximillian was just the first step. We have to work towards lasting peace now.

: I see your point. I'll certainly do my part in Rolandia...and I'll leave Burnstein to you. Deal?

: Deal.
