: Nothing much. Are you enjoying your day off?
: Uh...as much as I can. Well, since I'm from Rolandia, I don't really know what there is to do around here.
: Is it that different here?
: It's much different than Bolognia Village where I was born. [Sigh] I'm just a country boy at heart! So when I get in a city like this, I just can't figure out what to do!
: Well, I could show you around...
: Hmmm...I guess I don't have anything to lose.
: That way you could tell me more about yourself, too.
: Well, there's not much to tell, but okay.
: And, when I was a kid, there were lots of orphans in Bolognia...way more than were born there.
: Ah, so you have something in common with Hans, then.
: Yeah, to a point. But he got better care. I was abandoned when the orphanage was too crowded, and had to fend for myself for most of my life. I had to work to survive, so I learned to grow vegetables that I could eat and sell.
: Sounds like a hard life.
: Yeah, it was tough, and lots of kids really didn't make anything of themselves. Probably the one who did the best was Ariost.
: Ariost?! The one from the Magic Academy?
: Yep. He did really good, but he was smart...even as a kid. We were all proud of him. I wasn't so lucky...or smart.
: That's not really true. You helped me, Brett!
: Well, yeah, but that wasn't anything special.
Burnstein Soldier: His Majesty, King Eliotte has ordered your return to the castle at once!
: Uh-oh, this doesn't sound good...
: We'd better get back and find out what's wrong.

: ...Ummm...Are you just talking out loud, or are you asking because I used to be a guard here? [Sigh] Either way, you're not going to get much of an answer. I've never been this high in the tower.
: I'm just thinking out loud. I should have known that you wouldn't have been allowed this high, being a guard and all.
: Then...why did you choose me to come with you?
: I was considering the overall balance of the three groups when I chose you.
: And you decided that I should go with you alone, when the other groups were of three? But, two groups of four would've had greater strength.
: That is true, but we needed a balance of strength and speed to search the tower quickly and catch Max.
: I don't think anyone has ever put as much trust in me as you, Wein. Thank you. I'm not gonna let you down! You just wait and see! That Max guy is so gonna regret doing this!
: Hopefully I'm not the one filled with regret instead. Uh...Varner...Varner, wait up!

: What are you doin' in a place like this, Wein?
: Hey, that's my line! I thought you'd be a knight by now!
: Well, I thought about it at first...but then I realized that Rolandia and Burnstein both have many strong knights. They don't need me. I've decided I can do a better job as a hired hand for the citizens of this land.
: Well, as long as it makes you happy.
: Yeah, I'm fine with it. I'll leave the big peace picture to you, Wein.
: Heh, thanks...I think.
: Whelp, see ya around...
