Part 376: Marriage Trouble

There's a tie in what the goal for our cowLARP should be, and a very close vote for whether we should send Enerin or Oranda, but there's plenty of time to resolve those questions. For now, onward!


This information would be useful if there was any way to directly trade sheep.


Vandarl's hit age 30, and with that comes a new portrait! He looks slightly less goofy now.


Our sheep count at this time last year was 1975 or so, so the herds are shrinking, but not by a whole lot. We also have way too damned many pigs and horses.


First thing's first: Fuck over the Blue Jay's harvest.




Ernalddini, who married into your clan, now seeks a divorce. She accuses her husband, Tonalang, of taking a mistress. "I don't know who he's been with, but I know he's been with someone - repeatedly!" She wishes to keep her bride price of 5 cows as a fine for adultery. Ernaldinni's kin from the Brown Boar clan are here to support her claim.

It is not just Ernadlinni who will be unhappy if we rule against her. It is her clan, as well.
A divination is only as good as the magician conducting it.
If we should pay her, we can pay her.
Outlaw him!
She is completely convinced that her husband committed adultery.
We can't afford to admit Tonalang's fault, even if he did find a mistress.
If her husband has broken his marriage vows, one could argue that he is in breach of a pact. The precendents are contradictory, but her claim has some merit.

Also, keep voting on what our goal for the CowLARP is and who to send on it. Possible goals are cows more valuable or healthier, gaining a herd of cows, gaining a magical cow, increasing the cow knowledge of our people or the quester, protecting our cows from bad fortune, and gaining dominion over bulls and bull-headed people; there's currently a tie between the bullheaded people goal and the magical cow one.
