Lacryma Episode 18 Chapter 9 pt.1


Alright guys and girls, the filler is over and while we don't get plot progression we do get a fair bit of character development.
So strap your backpacks, because it's time for something actually interesting.



Someone knocks on the door.




These events happens after Toxa's Chapter 9.

"Don't worry about it."


This is the first time we actually see Lacryma smile. But even then...


Vigilance is in short, falling apart. Rimzan has left to lead the battle against Nordia.
Duran is possibly going to become the head of the Bishops, so he'll leave too.
Alana might become married, and she would have to quit Vigilance aswell.


So things are a little awkward.

"It was beautiful. All those buildings and canals..."
"That's not what I asked... You met Assam, right?"
"Oh, that... There's a problem..."
"How's that?"
"He proposed to me..."
"Assam wanted to marry you? What did you tell him?"



"I don't know... I mean he's handsome, rich, comes from a good family. He also takes good care of his mother."
That sounds really superficial. Now I ain't sayin' Alana is a gold digger but...
"But?"
"I have so many things to do. I don't want to quit Vigilance."







"Ha ha ha! What are you talking about? You're a saint!"
"A saint wouldn't struggle like this."
I don't want to take away from the moment here, but all I'm hearing is "wah, wah, I'm not perfect enough." Which is ridiculous.
"Come on, Lacryma. The Knights are all talking about you. 'Lacryma is a true Shrine Warrior.' That's what they say about you."
"I don't like that."
"Troy is spreading it around."
Of course he is.


Me three! What? I still suffer from the last chapter. Frigging Troy, the only good thing he ever made was a funny sounding Phantom.




Apparently, using Kartia draws upon the users emotions. That's rather ominous considering what we know about Akueldo's goals.







"Times like this, I'm glad to be a member of Vigilance."
"I know..."




If this were a more recently made game, or animu's Lacryma would have spewed her mugs content into Alana's face. Because
Thankfully it's not. This game is classy as fuck.

"You know they're both in love with you."
"But, I..."
"Bach said he came back for business. I think he came back for you."
"...You think too much."


Ice cold, lady. Just... Ice cold.

"You never change..."
"I'm too busy to think of those things."
"Well... At least Duran found time to fall in love..."
"Duran?"
"Oh, it's nothing. I have to go to work. Thanks for the tea."


And so, the moment is over and the smiles are hidden away again. Back to business.

"Alana..."
"Sorry, I didn't mean it that way. Don't worry."







I'm gonna cut this update into smaller chunks than usual because there is a lot of things to take in
since we aren't in the Filler Zone anymore.
