Heyyyyyyy I'm Diabetus. Boy we've had some great times together. It feels like ages ago that I played Battletoads in Battlemaniacs and Captain Novolin...boy those were some fun times. So I've decided to press on with:
Little Nemo: The Dream Master. An interesting Capcom game released in 1990. You assume the role of a purple-headed dumbass who parades around in his own dreams, forcing monsters to eat candy until they submissively let Nemo ride them or be eaten by them. Each candyable monster lets you assume their powers, from flying around as a bee to digging underground as a mole.
Nemo battles his way through Slumberland in his PJs to help rescue its benevolent ruler from the dreaded Nightmare King. Believe it or not, the game is apparently based on the film Little Nemo: Adventures in Slumberland, which is in turn based on the comic strip Little Nemo in Slumberland. Mmmhmm.
I have fond memories of this game. The music particularly stands out, and overall it's a pleasant playing experience.
...
At least it would be if the game wasn't so damn hard. How did I beat this as a child? Well...hopefully we'll find out.
