Part 23
pimpin your own thread. . . for shame. But I digress. . .
ANCIENT CAVE TRIP REPORT! The first one.

I discovered that you learn spells this time around by picking them up as scrolls or something.

Mimics again?! They're tough at first but you keep encountering them up until around floor 40 so they stop being tough pretty fast.

Sometimes, on floors divisible by 5, you run into this old guy, who sells you random stuff. Sometimes it's shit and sometimes it's REALLY good, but expensive. Since you don't have a capsule monster to feed your old crap, you can sell it and then buy better stuff. Makes this place a lot easier, honestly. The Ancient Cave isn't super hard like it was in Lufia 2. I basically breezed through to lv50.

It's funny that I found this, you'll see why later. It's a really fucking great though.

It has a defense of like 125.

Did I mention the terrain changes every five floors? That's right, you get a random dungeon type every fifth floor.

This is pretty good. It also raises RES by 20.

Around floor 40 or something the Mimics are replaced by delicious burgers. Man I wish we had Jack in the Box in Buffalo

When I got to floor 50, this waitress was here, and there were no stairs. Also that chest had a Croquette, but what good is it if I can't continue down? Oh also there's a healing panel here that heals both HP and MP (the ones on normal floors only heal HP) which is nice.

If you get to floor 50 without the glass ruby, you get a free god helm, sweet! It's worth doing once, and since I found another one, I have all the god helms I need. She also gives you a providence if you don't have one.

I had one, though, so it was cool. Upon exiting

are your items back.
The end! First AC run done. I guess next update I'll be going into Broffo Cave (which will help me gain some levels, since the enemies are tough, and make up for the money I spent on bunny ears) and maybe another side quest with a sweet item I can bring into the AC.
also vallhallan, if you read this you're a jerk and tell me when you're not going to be around, gawrsh.
