The Bushwhacker started life as a Medium Mech that was too advanced for its time. However, the Clan Invasion provided the technological impetus to improve and field the design properly.

Based on the BSW-S2, the MechCommander version sports our first instance of the Expansion Pack's weapons – the LBX Autocannon. This setup allows for the Bushwhacker to take apart enemies at both long and short range with the dispersal pattern on the LBX complimenting the LRM damage and SRMs.

It's also a sweet ride if MW3 is anything to go by, and a personal favorite of mine.

The -A may have gone a bit overboard on the Ammo for the LBX, but the opportunity to play with it like this is too good to pass up. With maximal armor, CASE to protect all the ammo, and amazing damage out to long range just makes this a good Mech that punches well in its weight class.

The usual MechCommander paradigm of “Less Armor, More JumpJets” does little to hinder the Bushwhacker-J, except to place more focus on long-range combat, only using the Medium Laser and SRM rack when someone gets close by accident.

The -W improves Ammo reserves, as well as adding a second Medium Laser to the mix. A solid Design at all ranges, the Small Laser is a pure addition by me to make up for the last 0.5t of missing weight.
