Part 131: Ep. 95: The Nut Is Family
---
: Last time on MySims Agents: I'm really scared of heights, pal. They're so high!
---
Sam bursts through the door into the Water Room and finds King Mike having an animated conversation with a wheely thing. He wastes no time at all--well, all right, he makes a note in his notebook, but then he gets right to talking with Mike.
: Mike, I'm going to need your help finding what's hidden in this temple.
: Hello, my fake friend! You're here for the secret treasure, then?
: A secret treasure? Yes, that's exactly what I'm here for.
Mike gestures to the wheel-like thing behind him.
: I took all the gears from Mr. Wheelman over there. You can't get to the treasure without those!
: I won't lie: I was really, really tempted. I knew it wouldn't help the situation, though.
: King Mike, can't you please help me? I really need to get the wheel working.
King Mike turns back to Mr. Wheelman and Sam updates his notes.
Let's look around.
I know! We can hold a seance and conjure him up some new ghostly friends!
Fun fact: up to four Sims can hold a seance at the same time, all swaying and chanting and wailing while the candles flicker. In the original MySims, if enough Sims participated in a seance for long enough to complete it, they would summon a ghost girl to hang around and haunt your town and scare your Sims! (And then your Sim could become best friends with her, but it was difficult, because she liked to scare you and thus damage your relationship.)
Sadly, no matter how much Sam sways, he cannot seem to summon a ghost. Oh, well. Time for plan B.
: I wonder if there are any coconuts lying around this room that have fallen from the tree?
Oh, well, who cares.
He's just so happy to be close to the end of his quest.
Finally, in one of the niches on the right-hand wall:
Huh, what's this?
LOL IUNNO vv
Hmmm. And over here in this other little niche:
: Let's see if these make suitable imaginary friends for King Mike.
Sam runs right over.
: I found you some new friends, Mike!
: What? New friends?
Sam hands King Mike the two coconuts he found.
Mike attempts to relate to his new friends--
--but shortly frowns and shakes his head.
Gulp!
Sam turns around to find King Mike deep in conversation with his new coconut family--
--and just... watches for a while, thousand-yard stare developing, soul dying. Finally, Mike remembers that we are here.
: I don't know how to thank you enough, figment!
: Can I get the parts to that water wheel now?
Mike's voice drops to a conspiratorial whisper.
: Oh, well, I don't know if Eloise would like that very much...
: Eloise?
: I'd better ask Reynaldo instead.
King Mike holds a lengthy conversation with... Reynaldo.
Occasionally checking to make sure that Eloise cannot overhear. Finally, Mike turns to Sam, beaming.
: We've decided you can have the parts.
He leads Sam over to the water wheel--
Oh no! COCONUT DRAMA!
---
: Next time on Reynaldo and Eloise: Is Reynaldo really being insensitive to Eloise's wishes? Or does Eloise simply want too much?
---
Video: Reynaldo And Eloise
As always, King Mike really needs to be seen in his entirety.
Also, what if Sam had chosen to lose his temper with Mike?
: Look here, freakshow. Give me whatever you took from that mechanism. Now.
: Maybe if you found me some better friends, I can give you the parts from Mr. Wheelman! Then you could go away, mean figment.
Aaaand then it plays out exactly the same way, because MySims Agents.
