Part 34: Ep. 25: He's Not Yeti, He's My Boyfriend

: Last time on MySims Agents: Paul the yeti is innocent--and Special Agent Sam says he can prove it! But... can he?

We open with a slow pan around the area. Everyone is here. Nova is standing protectively in front of the handcuffed Paul, shaking her fist at Preston and Beebee for their part in this tragedy.







Nova laughs, pleased.



: Preston wasn't really missing.



: We know from the security footage we recovered that a baseball bat was used to attack the lodge.

: But that footage also showed a yeti destroying Professor Nova's property. A yeti that left yeti tracks.

: A yeti wouldn't need a baseball bat to smash a hot tub. He would just use his hands.





: I've long since stopped wondering how Buddy knows these things.

: Anyways, more important are the boots that we discovered. Someone dressed up in a yeti costume to leave misleading footprints.



: We could make you put it on to make sure it fits.

Buddy, no, the OJ trial proved that never works! Anyway, Beebee is thrilled by the idea of making her precious boyfriend dress up in a cute costume!! Preston is... not so much.

: Oh, ummm...

Sam gets all up in Preston's face.

: Put the costume on, Preston.



Preston turns back to Sam and shakes his head 'no' several times, but finally slumps in defeat.

: ... fine.

Sam gives Preston the folded-up yeti costume. Preston spins around, and...





: A perfect fit!!







: Oh, great, now I can't even get it off!

Beebee goes 'awwwwww'. Preston is still not thrilled.

: Wow! Nice sleuthing, Sam! But why'd he do it? What did Preston have against Nova's lodge?

: I suspect it had something to do with this.

Sam pulls out the deed from Preston's car. How'd he get that? ... probably broke a window with his crowbar.



: The only holdout was this lodge. Of course, if Nova's lodge suddenly had to close due to yeti attacks, the land would be much easier to acquire.

Nova glares at Preston.

: And what exactly were you going to do with my lodge once you had it?!

: ... bulldoze it and build a bottled water factory.

Everyone stares at Preston in varying amounts of dismay.

: Well that's just tasteless.

: I think it's fantastic!! You're so amazing, Preston!

Preston sighs.

: Well, I guess you've solved the case, Sam. We'll let the yeti go right away.

Rosalyn goes to take the cuffs off Paul. Vic watches her go, then turns back to Preston.



Vic has the best angry face.





Also the best deadpan sarcastic face.

Preston dealt with, Vic turns to Sam as Rosalyn rejoins him.

: Again, really excellent work, Special Agent Sam!

: Alright, Vic.





Whoops. Rosalyn drags Vic off. Sam turns to Buddy, and Nova runs over to join them.

: Sam, Buddy, I can't thank you enough. You've saved my lodge... and you gave me the chance to chat with this handsome yeti!

: She said I can use the hot tub anytime I want!

: I'll go call the hot tub repairman right now!

Way back at the beginning of this case, Vic mentioned that Nova thought she'd actually seen the yeti using her hot tub on cold mountain nights. We proved that she'd been right about that all along. With evidence.

Nova runs off to call the repairman. Sam, Buddy, and Evelyn cluster around Paul.



: My name is Evelyn. Evelyn Gray. I think you worked with my father?

: Evelyn Gray? Is that... is that little Evie?

: You know me?!





: So you really knew my father? You and he were researchers together?

: Yeah... yeah, that's right! He helped make the Nightmare Crown!

Paul's smile vanishes.

: But after the crown disappeared I didn't see him anymore... he was a good guy.

: Paul, why is Morcubus looking for you? Does he think you have the Crown?

: I don't know what happened to the Crown. Morcubus knows that. I just helped him make it.



: He'd need the raw resources... and a ton of money. But yeah, that would explain why he wants to talk to me!

Eyes wide, Evelyn turns to Sam.

: Sam, please, we have to find out more about the Nightmare Crown!

Evelyn slumps.

: Maybe we can even figure out what happened to my father...

: Don't worry, Evelyn! We'll do everything we can to help you.

: Thank you, Buddy.

Sam turns to Paul.

: Paul, thank you for your help. Please let us know if you remember anything else.

: No sweat! Thanks for clearing things up with those crazy agents!

Sam nods, then turns back to Buddy and Evelyn.

: Let's head back to HQ.

We cut back to Sam and Buddy in the cockpit of the jet.



: Today I took some time to sit down and appreciate the beauty of freshly-fallen snow...

Pause.

: Good thing this jet has heated seats!

And with that, we return to HQ, mystery solved!

... and we'd best hope we didn't miss anything, because now that the case is solved we will never be allowed to go back to the mountains again!

Jet fuel prices. You know.
