Part 45: Ep. 32: Go Forth Now! For SCIENCE!!!
---
: Last time on MySims Agents: Special Agent Sam has discovered the truth behind Gabby's missing engine! Now comes the hard part: he has to do something about it.
---
Sam's ready to go back and face the music, but there's something he needs to do first. Agent Walker's requested our aid:
: ... surveillance. I'll need an extremely patient crew for this mission.
Since the 'Morcucorp Stakeout' dispatch mission relates directly to Morcubus, Sam has made the executive decision to handle it himself.
By sending Team Rosalyn to handle it.
Once that's done, Sam and Buddy hop back on the train and return to the industrial district, edging past the unnerving technological devices on their way to the top of the hill.
With some trepidation Sam once again approaches the Fortress Of Science. The keypad is right there by the door, but Sam's attention is distracted...
Sam shakes it off.
: I'll enter in the password I got from TOBOR...
Sam types in the binary code. The electronic lock beeps.
: OK! I'm in!
The door slides open and Sam and Buddy enter.
The camera pans around a truly impressive laboratory. Sam and Buddy look around in awe. After a moment, the lady with purple hair turns around and notices them.
The wild-haired gentleman turns around, gasps, and hurries to meet Sam and Buddy at the foot of the stairs.
: ... no.
: Um... are you Mr. F?
: Mr. F is my father's name. I am the incomparable Dr. F!
His assistant calls down from the upper level, where she is currently occupied.
Unfortunately, by asking that question, Buddy has attracted Dr. F's attention. Dr. F grabs Buddy's face in both hands, then circles around Buddy in obvious fascination, poking and prodding.
But Dr. F does not deign to listen to Sam.
: We're on a pretty tight schedule here, guys, so what's your question?
Sam tries once again to get Dr. F's attention.
: We were sent here by your old roommate, Paul.
It works this time.
: We suspect that Morcubus is trying to reproduce some of Paul's research. Paul thought you might be able to help us stop him.
: ... what research?
: Something called the Crown of Nightmares.
Dr. F gasps, whirls around, and calls up to his assistant.
Alexa spins around, disbelieving.
Having issued his command, Dr. F rejoins our heroes.
: Paul told me about that research. It inspired my own pursuit of the mad sciences!
: Do you know much about the Nightmare Crown?
: There's two parts to the Crown?
: Indeed! The Crown itself is very important, but it is powered by an extremely rare crystal!
Alexa comes down the ladder and joins the group.
: If Morcubus wants to manufacture something like that, he'll need a ton of raw resources.
: That assistant is correct! Running a project like that would have to leave clues.
: If you can find clues about Morcubus' activities, we might be able to tell you what he's really up to.
: We'll look for more cases in the industrial district and get back to you.
Sam starts to leave.
Sam takes it. Whatever it is. Maybe you shouldn't blindly accept things from mad scientists, Sam.
: What's this?
: It's your old magnifying glass mixed with the awesome flavor of technology. I call it the Detector because of all the things it can detect.
: Makes sense. Thanks!
The Detector is, shockingly, a replacement for our magnifying glass! It allows Sam to follow the trail of things other than footprints. Sam puts it in his trenchcoat pocket, and he and Buddy head up the stairs towards the front door. Dr. F yells after them.
: It took me a frighteningly long time to notice that I'd entirely forgotten to ask about the stolen car engine.
---
: Next time on MySims Agents: The hunt for natural resources is on! Our hunt, I mean. So that we can keep Morcubus from getting them. In his hunt for natural resources. Which is a bad hunt. Not like ours, which is a good hunt. Kind of.

EA Render: Morcubus and Brandi
I'm not sure why just those two, and I'm also not sure why Brandi is missing her awesome eyepatch. The ways of EA are strange indeed.
