Part 73: Wrap-Up: Spookane

... why does Morcubus have ranks in liking Sam?



Anyway! Somehow I managed to bumble through all these updates without showing you the fishing spots of Spookane. There are three of them.



The fishing spot near the docks has Batfish! Also Sea Turtles and Piranha.



We can also fish in Carl's ghost-haunted swamp! This also nets us Piranha somehow, as well as Sea Urchins and Ghost Essences.



Also, the Crocodile Shirley figure.



The final fishing spot is by Castle Morcubus. Here we can catch Piranha, Electric Eels, and Plecostomuseseseses.



Goth Boy has this lovely sarcophagus in his house. If Sam dares to sneak a peek, sometimes Ghost Essences will come floating out! Even if they don't, Sam will still jump a mile and explode in Scary Essences.



Sooner or later the Chopper Carl figure will pop out, too.



We've also got a Scroll to finish. So much stupid weeding to collect those Voodoo Dolls, goddammit.

: Oh, this stuff looks so cool!



Sam gets a Goth Family Portrait, a Spooooooky Bed and Sofa--extra 'o's may be my own addition--a Red Satin Chair, a Spiderweb Chair, Dining Table and End Table, a Lounge Chair Of Gloom, and some Spooky Paints. Just think 'Addams Family' and you've got it.

We do have one more Scroll in our inventory. It's the one that requires Pencils, though, and we haven't found that island yet.



Finally, some patient digging will unearth the Girdle Of Ogre Strength, currently flying over Sam's head!

Let's go turn in our prizes, shall we? We are actually running out of random boat conversations; there are one or two more, but I haven't managed to prod them into appearing yet.



But Violet will love it, and that's all that matters, right, Poppy? She gives us Mana.

So jealous that he gives us Happy Essences. To Capital Island!



: Ha! Just kiddin', looks like a Batfish to me! They're rare!

Since they're so rare, Barney gives us Simoleons in exchange, and then glitches the heck out: he will not react to the Plecostomus in our inventory at all, no matter what. This... is a thing that happens. Usually the game marks the glitched item as successfully delivered and lets us complete the quest. I guess we'll see!

For the record, he would have given us Cake Essences and said:

: Wow! That's a giant Plecostomus! I hear that mermaids sometimes ride those like horses!
