Mathias casts his vote in favor for Dauphine, but unfortunately is the lone voice supporting it, most of the other powers preferring to maintain the Status Quo.



Aquitaine remains an Iberian territory.


Debates involving the Aquitanian people are not over however, as a petition has been entered from France's colony in Jadakal. Sparsely populated in previous centuries, it has become the target of mass emigration of Aquitanians from their war-torn homeland, to the point where the colony is now called 'Nova Aquitania'.


Understandably they feel few connections to the French motherland, and wish to have their independence recognized. The options are to let them stay with the French, recognize their independence, or support a compromise that grants them autonomy as a protectorate.
