Part 15

"The central location of all this ... I have a feeling it's not going to be good."

An outbreak of creature...?

"No, even I had forgotten about that. If things go this way, I won't be able to remember ..."

I don't understand what I just read.

First that lame boss at the end of chapter 5, then Tsubutaki's translation error, now this.

"Ah, I see you're working hard. ... I know it must be hard."

"You're going to be taking daddy outside too, aren't you? Please, can't you take me with you?"

Both pH and Baroness are gone.

"I hope he doesn't come back."

"What a disgrace, throwing his real duties aside."

The only person we haven't talked to is Tetsuya. Maybe he'll know.

Watch A Secret Thought

We'll be sure to talk to Arthur.

Remember what Ubiquitous was talking about in the lab?

"There's no doubt about it. Dance, dance you hear! Uhyaahahahaha."

Those environmental effects we delt with last chapter can now be used as skills. You'll see what I mean.

"Try it out sometime."

Well.. that's a pretty big generalization. They certainly can make skills more useful, but the majority of the time that's not how they operate.

"I get to show everyone the outrageous abilities I have."

I'm surprised others can put up with Know. I'm just assuming that, though, because we've never seem him talking to anyone else.

Normally I don't show off shopping, but this skills perplexes me. The only use I can see is if you already have a high enough level to use the skills you want, and you want to use skills that require < 7 skills left in your arsenal.

Doctor Reynolds posted:

Bravery Decision was actually a very commonly used skill, to the point where it pretty much became a "cookie-cutter" arsenal. That is, an arsenal that everybody used. Rail Gun, Excalibur, and to a lesser extend Cluster Bomb are all extremely powerful abilities that unlock their true potential when used with BD. The idea behind the arsenal was to beat down your opponents swiftly before they had time to react, one that was very successful most of the time.
It's supposed to be High-Risk High-Reward, but given how powerful the attack skills are, the risk isn't overly high. That said, there are some pretty straightforward counters to the strategy. Erase skills, capsule popping skills, and defenses that erase attacks they block. The smart players had back-up attacks, of course. But it still would really ruin their day. To counter their counter, BD players would also run Orb, which is a skill that automatically negates erase skills thrown at you. Doesn't work against defenses that erase skills and capsule popping, but is certainly helpful against level-erase and whatnot.

Capsule popping, incidentally, is an effective (if boring) method of defeating your foe. As said by gatz, if you have no skills left in your arsenal, you slowly start to die. Diabolical Trick (apt name), Shatter, and... whatever the other ones are, are all extremely important and useful "backup" skills to have. Personally, I always tried to have at least one in my arsenals.

"If you can master this, future battles will be a piece of cake. JD has more information."

"Yes, I finally get it."

Not even a mention of Tsubutaki's memory box. But it sounds like he's gotten the hang of analyzing.

They're both back.

"After I calmed down, I realized that there was no way it could have been you. I don't know why I acted that way. I'm so embarrassed."

"I just wanted you to know how it geels, to be the one that has to wait. Really, truly, I'm so sorry. I'll prepare any dish you like. Please, please forgive me! I'm so fortunate that there is someone who worries about me."

Baroness complained about being left behind in chapter 5. Still, that was a pretty extreme thing to do.

"I'm satisfied with just Erase skills."

"Isn't that great news? I was drinking when I heard the news. I wonder what the skill is actually like. I can't wait. Let's go take a look."

Watch Environmental: Finalized

"Well, that's a good battle strategy."

That's a surefire way to get rid of environmental skills. The AI will do it, too, but there's a little catch I will show off in a later mission.

"Don't be shy, order anything your heart desires."

"You're making it hard to drink."

Kei's gone. I wonder where he went.

"No, my job is important ... but ... hmm."

"I'll have control with my Environmental skills, even using my weak skills. Are you using Environmental skills?"

Mac now will stock environmental skills.

"If we master their use, our future battles will benefit tremendously."

"Nah, I'll do something about it."

Four missions are available. One is immediately relevant.

"Search the area."

Perhaps he has hidden in garbage. Good briefing.

Watch Book Ban

Okay, what? A telepathic message from another scout? Since when could they do this?

These novels are getting a little surreal. Let's go see is he's back in the Atrium.

So Kei's fine, but another important NPC has gone missing.

It's Know.

"the Panorama, and bring him back."

Thankfully, Tetsuya has this mission for us. I'm not a fan of Know, but I certainly don't want him to die.

Watch Concerns of the Elite

I'm not sure why the mission was given that title, but the results of it will be very important in the following episode.
