Part 64: Intermission 1: Green Ruins, Whale Island Cave & Fin
Monster Intermission 1: Green Ruins, Whale Island Cave & FinSo, I'm doing a brief little intermission here instead of your normal update. Way back at the beginning of the LP I said the thread was going to get to vote on what monsters we tame, and now it's about time!
The next update won't include any taming in it, as it's the last of my buffer updates- I haven't played the game in almost a month!
Should I have maybe done this sooner? Yeah, but no time for regrets, we've got monsters to vote on!
So, with Fluff in the barn, we've got 9 open slots right now. However, I'm reserving one slot for a particular monster coming up in the next dungeon. That makes 8 slots open for monsters! And you can vote to have more Woolies if you want, I don't mind having duplicates of monsters.
It'll be a bit before I can even consider getting the Barn extension, so these are all the slots we have to work with for now. If there's nothing amazingly interesting here for you yet, feel free to wait until some new stuff comes along.
Naming restrictions are identical to what they were before when it came to naming Bush, so 6 letters long basically.
I'll be going through every monster we've seen so far.
*Green Ruins*
Up first is a Chitter/Chipsqueak. Bush had one in the intro movie, I guess?
UTILITY: They'll harvest wild plants for us!
And next we have an Ant. Truly inventive, this one.
UTILITY: These hardworking buggers can harvest our crops for us.
This here is a Spring. It's in the dungeon with the season of Spring. They're also kinda springy I guess.
UTILITY: These plant shotguns produce seeds! I'm guessing they're spring season seeds, but I've never had one so I'm just guessing.
There's also Slime! You can have your very own cave slime today!
UTILITY: They can break rocks for us! I've no idea if they're stronger than our hammer at that, but still!
These goofy but deadly things are Big Mucks.
UTILITY: When harvested they either produce a colored grass or a jewel!
Magic power?! It's a Little Mage!
UTILITY: He'll cut lumber for us with the power of magic, I guess.
Here be bees! Or, uh, Hornets, I guess.
UTILITY: Despite not being bees, they produce honey. How about that?
This right here be a mighty fine Clucky. I called it a Peck before, but that's apparently it's higher level version from a later dungeon. I still prefer Cluckadoodle myself.
UTILITY: They lay eggs, surprising right?
*Whale Island*
A Goblin appears! What shall you do?
UTILITY: Goblin uses Harvest Crop! It hast struck a most excellent blow!
This right here, is a tired Orc. We'll just let this lazy peon rest.
UTILITY: If we woke him up, he could harvest some crops for us.
This right here, is an Orc, but hear me out on this... it has a bow. That makes it an Orc Archer.
UTILITY: They'll uh, also harvest crops.
Woolies! Series mascot! Fluffball! Makes weird sounds!
UTILITY: Amazingly, you can shear these bipedal sheep for their wool. Pretty innovative gameplay right there.
Big ol' monster cows known as Buffamoo. I think they used to be called Peekamoo.
UTILITY: In groundbreaking game design, these make milk!
And lastly, we've got ourselves Silver Wolves. Rather dangerous, these beasts, but I'm sure they're not all that bad.
UTILITY: We can ride it around!
Remember, you can choose to leave some slots open in your vote. Also, if you don't give me names, I'll just have to come up with some myself.
So there's our options! Get to voting, and I'll be able to get started on the next updates!
