S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky is the prologue to S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl, taking place one year before. The player assumes the role of a mercenary named Scar who was disabled inside of the Zone due to a powerful psi-emission while leading a group of scientists through the swamps. Waking up in the base of the elusive Clear Sky faction, it is there that the game begins.
Clear Sky contains many of the same features that the first S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game did, including radiation, bleeding, hunger, anomalies, and artifacts. It also adds more features such as the possibility to repair and upgrade weapons and armor, locate artifacts with detectors, psi-emissions, faction territory wars, and the ability to buy stash locations from other stalkers.
Despite the large success of Shadow of Chernobyl, Clear Sky was not received well at all by reviewers nor fans of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series. This was due to a huge increase in difficulty, broken game mechanics, a huge amount of bugs and glitches, limited gameplay, and a weaker story than the previous game.
Because the game is almost literally unplayable on its own, I have decided to run the game with the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky Complete Mod in order to retain my sanity. This fixes numerous bugs and broken mechanics such as bleeding and the infamous mini-gunner. I will also be following the path of least resistance for the most part, but may get more involved with some faction quests in order to show off more aspects in what is a somewhat short game.

Mercenary Scar - A mercenary who was hired to take a group of scientists through the Zone's swamps. Was knocked unconscious by a powerful psi-emission and was taken to the Clear Sky base. Has a mysterious resistance to emissions that most others do not have.
Lebedev - The leader of the Clear Sky faction. Knows more about the Zone than anybody else and seems to have the best understanding about the increased amount of emissions. Seems to believe that the Zone is conscious and is trying to find a way to live with it rather than take advantage of it. Prides himself with his success in his other hobby of looking like Doctor Phil.
Sidorovich - Making a return apperance, or I guess technically his.. first? Sidorovich is a trader who is recognized throughout the Zone as a go-to guy for making exchanges. Oh yeah, he's also bald for some reason now.
