So around this time we've entered a weird era with these next two consoles games. A spinoff and a "reboot" that even the company wants to forget sometimes and mock. But this is for the first one!

Funny how it was introduced. Sometime in 2005, Sonic, along with other video game characters and devs, were inducted into the Walk of Game, where SEGA thought it would be a good idea to introduce the next game in the series. The video in question (Skip to 1:05 for the shadow trailer). Not too hard to guess the overall reaction.

So visuals aside, it plays pretty much identical to Heroes if you were stuck as a speed character. The Spindash returns, though gimped as hell, as well as melee combat and the obvious: weapons. Six different varieties to use from, each with it's own uses, though you're gonna want the ranged ones. One of the game's selling points is its branching story, with over 300 different paths to take among the 22 levels in the game (minus last story). Either being the hero, the enemy or just doing whatever you feel like. There's some other goodies but we'll explains those in the videos.

So with all of these paths, how are you gonna properly show this game off?

I'll be going one level per video, showing off the cutscenes either at the beginning or the end of the video, as well as each cutscene per path. By the end of this LP, I hope to have the videos layed out in a similar way as the game, so it works like a CYOA kind of thing. There's the library which adds a new chapter when you beat a path but you're not missing much.

Which levels will you be doing first & what about guests?

Just going in a straight path for each row. Start from the middle and eventually branch out to the other paths.

It'll be the usual 2 guests along with myself. SpinningRobo will be my go to guy for Shadow, since he knows a lot more about the game than I do. 2nd guest will change up.

One last thing. If you want to hear the game audio without commentary, just change the audio track to 2 if you're downloading.

So with that out of the way, let's begin:
