Part 8
Eh, I had time so I banged off a quick update - this battle went fast, faster than I expected. The noble army of Pacifica also lost more men and equipment here than we had ever lost, combined; we also failed to destroy either the Hoover Dam or the Casinos of Las Vegas (a landmark). Gambling and prostitution will carry right on in Vegas, but since we're groovy out in the West Coast that's okay.
I bought three units of commandos to replace those I had lost previously, and a chaparral to give us added air support against a military might that still had a full airforce. Also, here's what I mean by it being expensive to repair stuff - fixing our hornet would cost almost as much as buying some replacement infantry, hence I prefer to repair during battles.
You know the score here:
I split my forces in two, one intent on seizing Vegas itself and the other who would drive down to the central territory. This my deployment on the first turn.
Nice, eh? And then, OH HOLY FUCK.
Anyhow, I begin with what's easier to deal with by going out to devastate that partisan with Central Task Force.
