Part 77: Reaching an Elevator.

Roland gets a mighty cheap one.
After all, he starts as a Jack of All Trades, whhy not expand his arsenal with Wind?




Argilla gets something significantly more expensive, but still well within the budget.



Unfortunately, Roland masters it after a single fight. Oh boy.

Gale can be upgraded with an extra pair of skills. That will be useful.




This ought to last for a while.


I wass switching skillsets for a while. Since Cielo has the Synchro Ring, why not take advantage of it?
It's time to use more combo skills, since in this one they are actually very useful.



Also, more single target spells, in case Omoikanes decide to appear.






Clearly, that could've caused severe damage to Serph's internal organs. It probably needs a good cleaning before being set on a ring, otherwise, that could be quite gross.

And speaking of that, time to put stones in the rings.




Roland is more balanced than Argilla or Heat. And this is about all the control one can have over the stat progression. Rings allow you to at least give a boost to lacking areas.
I do prefer rings with effects, though.



Strangely, Cielo's luck is LOWER than Gale's.



Argilla's Strength will be lacking for a while.



And Gale ran out of useful stones. Oh well.



Since attacking while Cursed reflects the damage to the attacker, that is probably not such a good idea. I don't know.
4 slots could give useful things, though.


Since Cielo lacks Auto Soma/Mana/Chakra Walk, this will have to suffice. It is pretty good, and a must equip for magic casters until one gets better ways to restore magic.
It also has the effect that bhy draining the enemy's magic, one prevents them from casting their own spells, which is undeniably useful, and not an effect present with the Chakra Elixir.


And it does give a very respectable amount of magic back.



I have no idea what that statue thing is supposed to depict.




This is probably the single most useful combo skill. And the sole reason why Cielo gets the Synchro Ring.
With that ring, combo skills take only one turn, instead of two. Charge is pretty much a reverse Debilitate, but for the party.
All the buff skills applied in one go. Very useful.






This one is also present as a single caster-spell, it is also incredibly useful.


Omnomnom and such.


Charge is definitely the superior combo.

And that without Item Find. On the other hand, Item Find does not alter the levelup events. Item Find is VERY necessary in the later stages of the game.




Hopefully this one will last for a bit longer.


Why not the Blue Diamond as well?
The ring's main purpose is already to increase vitality. That would be a bit too much, I think.

On the other hand, screw it.




Hooray for crazyish floor layouts.
At least it is not boring, like the first dungeon.
Or a teleporty dungeon.




Strange.
Why would there be a Large Terminal so close to a Small one, and on the only possible exit/advancement route?

Well that will be known after a quick trip to the small terminal for more mantras.




Oh boy! It is an ambush! No one could have ever expected this particular developement.



And they hit Roland where it hurts. Earth attacks.
Titanomachia is a stronger attack, though.

Not bad.


These are unpredictable, and can have negative effects.
They can be useful, though. (Or at least they could be ueful in SMT1 and 2, and have some quest related things on P3)

Expensive bullet, the Hollow Point has already been acquired thanks to a chest, but let's get this one too.






Only Gale lacks a new bullet type.

Unfortunately, Serph will have to go Mantra-less for a LONG time. Almost everything has been mastered.



Roland still has a couple cheapo things to get, though.
