Part 8

Now that Tammy's got some support, let's head towards the only place we haven't been yet: the gym. Tammy heads through the doors, and...

Yousei Pixie x4 appeared!

We're jumped by a bunch of demons, and they're considerably stronger than us. We can't negotiate yet, so all we can do is fight or run!

Tammy chooses to stand and fight.

Tammy and Reiko capitalise on their strength and agility and get the first hits in, taking out one of the big, bad Pixies. Another runs away in terror, while the next casts Dia to heal some HP. The last Pixie casts Zio, dealing Tammy nearly twice her max HP in damage. Ow.

I'm flying...

Where am I going?

Charon:
You must not cross the river yet. There is still a light within you, trying to protect you. It will now reveal itself to you at these shores so that it can aid you. Behold...

The light dances about, before settling to reveal itself...

My guardian is... Puss in Boots?

Charon:
Now, return to the land! When you rise again, you will be reborn with the power of the light...

...I'm back outside 2-D.

Guardian: Cat Sidhe

Wikipedia posted:

Cat Sidhe or Cait Sith (pronounced caught shee) is a fairy creature from Celtic mythology said to resemble a large black cat with a white spot on its breast. It was said to haunt the Scottish Highlands. Some common folklore suggested that the Cait Sidhe was not a fairy, but a transformed witch.

The myths surrounding this creature are more common in Scottish Folklore, but a few myths originate in Irish folklore as well.

This comes from the root words "Cait", which meant "Cat" in both Irish and Scottish Gaelic, and Sidhe, which is the word for faery folk or other otherworldly beings.

It is possible that the legends of the Cait Sidhe were inspired by sightings of a rare breed of cat, known in modern times as the Kellas Cat.
