A wardroom is the area of a submarine or ship where the officers get together and have officer-only meals, chatter about the difficulties that officers face in the Navy, bitch about the quality of their water, then leave their dirty dishes for enlisted to pick up and scrub away in the scullery. Sometimes they talk about work there too.
