Gig the Indestructible was the leader of the World Eaters that appeared suddenly 200 years ago. He led them on a campaign of destruction across the continent before being defeated by Layna the Firebrand. He was believed dead, but was in fact trapped in an onyx blade by Layna for unknown reasons.

Currently, Gig has been fused with a young orphan from the Hidden Village, with the intent of using his power to defeat the World Eaters. Gig's origins and motivations are a mystery to everyone, even him...
