What If you make them separate threads? One for single player and the other for multiplayer.

That's the general idea. There would be one thread for the multiplayer battles such as this one, and another thread for the singleplayer missions.

Operation Red Afternoon: Turn 2



I realised a few hours ago that the best way to deal with these attack helicopters is to let them pass our forces without bothering them.

Ursinius thinks he is going to cut down all of the forces in our rear only to find out that we don't have any. In the meantime, we should set up our SAM systems so that upon returning from their failed expedition, the Helicopters get immediately destroyed and we eliminate his most dangerous assets without a struggle.

(That's the ideal plan anyway)



In other news, reducing the suppression of our forces is for the most part a complete success. All of our forces manage to completely unsuppress themselves except for the one routing T-80.





All in all, not a terribly exciting turn. Most of what I did was move up the force so that it has terrain cover concealing it from the Cobras.

And therein lies the true weakness of attacking with gunships but no ground forces, the enemy is just going to hide so you have to approach at point blank range to do anything.



And I have a very specific measure put in place for that possibility.
