Part 5: Round 5 - The Hat Trick

And with that, we mourn the losses of Mico and Lyrax. Ten speedy fast goons survive Round 4 and make it to this next thing.


You should probably activate the Metal Cap switch. You must catch the rabbit in the basement.

Ladies and gentlemen:
- Your race starts when you select your File from the File Select screen.
- The first star you collect must be from catching the rabbit in the basement. Mario must NOT be wearing his cap at this time.
- Once your star count reaches 50, the next and final star you collect must be from catching the rabbit in the basement. Mario MUST be wearing his cap at this time.
- You may only collect Level Stars whilst wearing a Special Cap (Wing, Metal or Vanish).
- Besides the rabbit stars mentioned above, Castle Secret Stars may be obtained at any time and with no restrictions or requirements.
- Your race ends when the save prompt disappears after collecting the second rabbit star. At this point you will have 51 stars.

So lose your hat, catch the rabbit, then get stars with a special cap (or Castle Secret Stars). Once you get to 50, catch the rabbit again, but make sure you get your hat back first!

We'll be losing the slowest two!
