Part 59: Character and Skill Data part 2
Recruitable Character Information Part 2Since I'm running out of space on the second post, let's continue the list of recruitable characters here.
Krishna
Character stats
Myrmidon -> Swordmaster
code:
HP Str Mag Skl Agl Luk Wlv Def Mov
Base stats 20 3 6 7 9 7 2 5 5
Stat caps 60 18 15 22 23 30 19 17 12
Promotion Gains +2 +3 +0 +3 +2 +0 +1 +1 +1
Promotion Caps 60 21 15 25 25 30 20 18 12
Growth Rates 40% 15% 10% 15% 25% 25% 20% 14% 0%
Steal (starting), Rising Dragon (lvl 17)
Krishna is the better of the two new recruits this chapter. However this means she only sucks less than Maerhen. She has decent starting stats but abyssmal growths which render her gimmick of being a fighting thief kinda useless. If you were lucky she might gain enough magic to use her with using magic swords but otherwise youre probably better off using a pure thief if you want to steal stuff because even with a promotion she wont stand up to the opposition for long and Holmes can open doors and chest just fine.
Maerhen
Bandit Chief
Character stats
code:
HP Str Mag Skl Agl Luk Wlv Def Mov
Base stats 28 9 0 2 4 1 4 6 4
Stat caps 60 22 15 17 19 30 18 19 12
Growth Rates 10% 5% 0% 5% 5% 5% 0% 0% 0%
Steal (starting), Picklock (starting), Mug (starting)
Do I even need to say anything? I have no idea what the plan was with Maerhen but hed be better off dead. He is the worst unit I have seen in any game of this kind and as such I wont even start to use him. Also Holmes wasnt kidding that he feels like Maerhen is ruining his day by standing next to him. As a secondary effect of Mug, which steals off a killed unit with 100% accuracy (which given his stats will never happen) it lowers the Evasion and Accuracy of allied units within three squares of Maerhen by 50% just to prove a point at how sucky you can make a unit.
Sun
Character stats
Cavalier -> Black Knight
code:
HP Str Mag Skl Agl Luk Wlv Def Mov
Base stats 22 6 0 6 5 6 4 3 7
Stat caps 60 19 15 18 18 30 16 18 12
Promotion Gains +4 +3 +0 +4 +4 +0 +3 +4 +1
Promotion Caps 60 22 15 22 22 30 19 22 12
Growth Rates 55% 30% 20% 55% 35% 25% 40% 24% 0%
Re-move (starting), Elite (lvl 5), Geomancy (lvl 25), Awareness (lvl 40), Charge (promoted)
Sun is pretty much like Narron. She comes a bit into the game and starts out weak but has a fantastic promotion (although its still not Narrons) and learns great skills including Elite. Her growths are slightly weaker in the strength and HP department than Narrons but are better in everything else (30% more skill growth and 15% higher speed growth for instance). If you take the time to train her, she and Narron usually have you covered on the horseback front.
Lyria
Character stats
Priest
code:
HP Str Mag Skl Agl Luk Wlv Def Mov
Base stats 18 0 4 2 3 12 1 3 4
Stat caps 60 15 19 17 18 30 18 16 12
Growth Rates 25% 0% 15% 5% 35% 50% 15% 5% 0%
Sing (starting)
Lyria is a basically a worse Plum. Instead of getting Dance she gets Sing which personally I think is inferior since healing can be done by staffs and is more potent and the additional turn triggers far to seldom to rely on. While grwoths and stats arent that important for priest characters in this game it still might help to survive a hit and in that department she got slightly better growths than Plum. She may not outheal them due to her horrid Mag growths but at least she got a decent Speed and Luck growths to build some avoid. Her personal staff is quite nice though as well be seeing next chapter.
Frau
Character Stats
Pegasus Knight -> Dragon Knight
code:
HP Str Mag Skl Agl Luk Wlv Def Mov
Base stats 24 7 8 5 11 8 5 5 7
Stat caps 60 20 21 19 22 30 17 18 12
Promotion Gains +5 +3 -6 +3 -1 +0 +2 +4 +0
Promotion Caps 60 23 15 22 21 30 19 22 12
Growth Rates 50% 25% 25% 40% 45% 40% 35% 20% 0%
Re-move (starting), Continue (lvl 12), Anti-Evil (lvl 25)
Frau can be used as a substitute for Mahter. She comes with almost the same stats and has better growths (sans luck). It hurts that she has neither Gale nor Elite but that doesnt make her a bad unit. However she falls into the same problem that all Pegasus rider fall as there are not enough Promotion items out there. We got 2 surefire Promotion items for a total of 4 Riders and the other Dragon Flutes rely on a 1% chance to get and as such are unobtainable without some serious masochism. Usually you will hand out one Flute to Sasha and the other doesnt come until ¾ into the game meaning they tend to fall behind as well. Still you can train her in Holmes route and decide at a later point whether you want to use her over one of the others.
Shirou
Character Stats
Nomad -> Mameluke
code:
HP Str Mag Skl Agl Luk Wlv Def Mov
Base stats 24 8 0 8 9 3 5 5 8
Stat caps 60 21 15 20 21 30 17 18 12
Promotion Gains +3 +1 -0 +1 +1 +0 +2 +2 +0
Promotion Caps 60 22 15 21 22 30 19 20 12
Growth Rates 70% 35% 10% 25% 35% 45% 35% 22% 0%
Plains Fighter (starting), Re-move (lvl 14), Continue (lvl 28),
Shirou is the only nomad you gain outside of Lionheart himself, who is already promoted. His growths are weaker than Rennie but he comes with a horse and access to swords upon promotion. Rennie can outpace him (if she is lucky with her movement growth) and out damage him but Shirou is better out of the box. Unfortunately his promotion sucks statwise and his skills are anything great either. You usually far better with the other bow users but he is perfectly usable..
Loffaru
Character stats
Kings Knight
code:
HP Str Mag Skl Agl Luk Wlv Def Mov
Base stats 41 17 2 16 13 12 13 15 7
Stat Caps 60 25 15 25 25 30 20 23 12
Growth Rates 50% 15% 0% 20% 15% 30% 15% 15% 0%
Life of Death (starting), City Fighter (starting), Big Shield (starting), Charge (lvl 32), Anti-Evil (lvl 37)
Loffaru comes with the best class in the game. It can use all weapons and has the best caps together with Narrons Gold Knight. Unfortunately Loffarus stats and growths are not that good. Still he can last through the game especially seeing how our cavaliers sans Narron and Sun have turned out.
Zachariah
Character stats
General
code:
HP Str Mag Skl Agl Luk Wlv Def Mov
Base stats 50 17 0 14 11 6 18 19 4
Stat Caps 60 22 15 22 19 30 20 25 12
Growth Rates 55% 20% 5% 20% 20% 30% 15% 15% 0%
City Fighter (starting), Big Shield (starting)
Zachariah is the last Armor Knight/General you get in this game. If you want to use one you can use him without a hitch as long as he stays clear of Armor Slayers and Magic. He rates slightly higher on the scale than the other armor knights since he is a prepromote and thus at least has 4 movement and needs no training. Still if youre bent on using an armor knight you really should consider Norton for having a horse upon promotion or Billford for being far better than Zachariah could ever be. As it stands Zachariah can help you in a pinch but without decent growths and skills (not to mention movement) he will be a burden against stronger enemies.
Lionheart
Character Stats
Mameluke
code:
HP Str Mag Skl Agl Luk Wlv Def Mov
Base stats 32 13 0 12 12 4 9 10 8
Stat Caps 60 22 15 21 22 30 19 20 12
Growth Rates 75% 30% 5% 25% 20% 25% 25% 25% 0%
Plains Fighter (starting), Re-move (starting), Continue (starting), Heaven Saint (starting), Anti-Evil (lvl 22)
Lionheart is a promoted Nomad and as such one of the few units than can use both bows and Swords. His growths are weaker than Shirou by a bit but he has better skills and is already promoted. He is perfectly usuable in my opinion and his character kicks ass. He wont be as strong as a lucky Rennie but also is at least more RNG proof than her and will have good movement no matter what happens.
Bud
Thief
Character stats
code:
HP Str Mag Skl Agl Luk Wlv Def Mov
Base stats 18 1 5 6 16 6 0 8 5
Stat caps 60 16 15 20 25 30 18 15 12
Growth Rates 40% 15% 35% 30% 45% 55% 40% 13% 0%
Steal (starting), Picklock (starting), Forest Fighter (starting), Elite (lvl 10), Dragon Saint (lvl 40)
Bud is another thief in this game. She is the only to learn Elite which is a point in her favor and if you want to grind her up she will learn Dragon Saint (Astra) at lvl 40. However both her strength and defence growth are atrocious meaning you can only use her in combination with magic swords for which she needs to accumulate Wlvls. All of this is quite a bit of work for a mediocre fighting unit at best. If you want to have a fighting thief I would wait for Narcissus since he is the most RNG proof out of the folk although he lacks Steal.
Rishel
Character Stats
Mage -> Sage
code:
HP Str Mag Skl Agl Luk Wlv Def Mov
Base stats 24 0 11 10 9 9 6 13 5
Stat caps 60 15 19 20 19 30 18 17 12
Promotion Gains +2 +0 +3 +3 +4 +0 +2 +2 +1
Promotion Caps 60 15 22 23 23 30 20 19 12
Growth Rates 55% 0% 30% 40% 35% 15% 30% 20% 0%
Gale (starting), Earth Saint (starting), Anti-Evil (level 15), Continue (lvl 32)
Rishel is the last unpromoted mage you get and by god he is amazing on account of his personal tome. His personal tome Sunflame negates the one weakness mages have by giving Rishel a whooping 10 defence as long as its equpped. This mean at base Rishel already has 16 defence almost as much as Zachariah without his problems. It also has 15 might, 3 range and 70 uses making it even more amazing. Stat wise Rishel comes with decent bases and the best growths from the mages as well as another point of movement. Usually he turns out to be your best mage.
Sierra
Witch
Character stats
code:
HP Str Mag Skl Agl Luk Wlv Def Mov
Base stats 25 0 11 7 10 3 12 3 5
Stat caps 60 15 20 18 21 30 20 17 12
Growth Rates 45% 0% 25% 25% 20% 15% 25% 15% 0%
Warp (starting)
Sierra is the first and only playable witch there ever was in a FE game (or clone). Her growths aren't that much worse than the other mages and her mobility is unmatched and makes her great at assassinating key targets (just make sure she isn't getting murdered in return). She can also use dark tomes. If her stats hold up or you got enough stat boosters left she tends to be an amazing asset for the rest of the game.
Rebecca
Character stats
Priest
code:
HP Str Mag Skl Agl Luk Wlv Def Mov
Base stats 20 0 9 4 7 7 10 2 4
Stat caps 60 15 19 17 18 30 18 16 12
Growth Rates 45% 0% 40% 40% 45% 35% 40% 10% 0%
Summon (starting), Elite lvl (16), Charismas (lvl 38)
Rebecca is potentially the second best healer in the game. She has great growths comes with summon naturally and learns good skills. However she comes severely underleveled and late you might have already brought up Lyria, Plum as well as Katri and Enteh for your healing needs. As such she can easily be left aside and not to be bothered with. However if you take the time with her she tends to become the best at what she does.
Rina
Character stats
Cavalier -> Paladin
code:
HP Str Mag Skl Agl Luk Wlv Def Mov
Base stats 20 4 0 4 7 18 2 3 9
Stat caps 60 19 15 18 18 30 16 18 12
Promotion Gains +3 +3 +0 +4 +4 +0 +3 +3 +0
Promotion Caps 60 22 15 22 22 30 19 21 12
Growth Rates 40% 10% 40% 35% 55% 60% 35% 10% 10%
Elite (starting), Re-Move (lvl 9), Gale (lvl 18), Continue (lvl 23)
Rina has some of the best growths in the game but comes really late and at lvl 1 and with an abyssal strength growth that often makes her not worth leveling. If you decide to level her and can fix her strength score and get lucky she is probably the second best horseback unit after Narron maybe tied with Sun.
Renee
Character stats
Saint
code:
HP Str Mag Skl Agl Luk Wlv Def Mov
Base stats 22 0 16 12 12 7 17 4 5
Stat caps 60 15 22 20 22 30 22 18 12
Growth Rates 30% 0% 30% 35% 40% 40% 35% 5% 0%
Summon (starting), Frontier Fighter (starting)
And here comes the best healer in the game. Renee comes with great stats so you don't really need to lvl her to use her and with two unique ass-kicking wands. the first is a all time favourite of FE players with the Warp Staff which lets you make several maps a walk in the park. The second staff is the Foehammer staff which erases monsters according to her MAg rating so it basically solves monster maps on its own (and the cost of wasting their exp). She also has higher movement than other healers (barring Mel's troubadour) and growths that can stand with the best of them. All in all she is one great unit.
Yoda
Character stats
Swordmaster
code:
HP Str Mag Skl Agl Luk Wlv Def Mov
Base stats 40 16 6 22 21 13 18 8 6
Stat Caps 60 21 15 25 25 30 20 18 12
Growth Rates 40% 15% 0% 15% 10% 20% 10% 10% 0%
Dragon Saint (starting), Rising Dragon (starting), Blazing Wind (starting), Frontier Fighter (starting), Anti-Evil (starting)
Yoda is the last Swordmaster you get in the game. He is the master of Shigen and Julia and one of the five heroes. He come sat max level with great stats and an amazing array of skills. His growths only matter if you feed him a Super-Proof but that usually isn't necessaty. He us a great unit but can be outshined by his protegé due to their special swords. However unlike those units he is RNG proof. Like most swordmasters in the game you're probably never wrong in having him tag along.
Hagaru
Character stats
Wood Shooter
code:
HP Str Mag Skl Agl Luk Wlv Def Mov
Base stats 36 13 0 12 9 4 7 17 3
Stat caps 60 20 15 20 20 30 18 30 12
Growth Rates 55% 35% 5% 30% 40% 40% 40% 40% 0%
Continue (starting), Elite (starting), Big Shield (lvl 18)
Hagaru is the better of the two wood shooters but that class is still beyond redemption. Horrible movement, archers that are also weak against armor slayers and special weapons that'll deny you movement for the entire map. Recruit him and bench him unless you feel like challenging yourself.
Verna
Character Stats
Pegasus Knight -> Dragon Knight
code:
HP Str Mag Skl Agl Luk Wlv Def Mov
Base stats 30 12 15 13 17 13 13 8 7
Stat caps 60 20 21 19 22 30 17 18 12
Promotion Gains +5 +3 -6 +3 -1 +0 +2 +4 +0
Promotion Caps 60 23 15 22 21 30 19 22 12
Growth Rates 55% 25% 22% 40% 35% 35% 35% 22% 0%
Anti-Evil (starting), Re-move (starting)
Verna is your last flying unit that you get. She is quite good and comes with a special Lance that kicks ass. Since that Lance isn't bound to her feel free to give it to one of your other lance wielding units though (Lionel or Raffin for on foot usage). Outside of that she is decent and Anti-Evil helps in the last few lvls but since she has to dismount in those levels given that they are indoor you usually have better units to use given that the main benefit is taken from her. Still she usually won't end up draggin you down if you field her.
Sennet
Character stats
Prince
code:
HP Str Mag Skl Agl Luk Wlv Def Mov
Base stats 47 23 14 21 20 15 20 20 5
Stat Caps 60 23 19 23 23 30 20 22 12
Growth Rates 80% 55% 0% 50% 40% 45% 45% 40% 0%
Earth Saint (starting), Life or Death (starting), Charisma (starting)
Sennet is one of three characters that join you in the last map. As such his growths are entirely meaningless (and thus haev to be some of the best in the game as a final troll move by Kaga) but he is more than competent enough given that he is a plot character. You have to use him so there is not much else to say.
Alfred
Character stats
Sage
code:
HP Str Mag Skl Agl Luk Wlv Def Mov
Base stats 38 0 19 22 18 8 20 9 5
Stat caps 60 15 22 23 23 30 20 19 12
Growth Rates 75% 0% 30% 30% 30% 30% 30% 15% 0%
Warp (starting)
The second unit that joins you in the final map is Alfred who is a great mage if your own mage units haven't turned out that well. He comes with the warp skill as well giving him the best possible mobility. not more to say given that you have to use him as well.
Tia
Character stats
Leda Princess
code:
HP Str Mag Skl Agl Luk Wlv Def Mov
Base stats 34 15 25 22 25 21 20 13 5
Stat Caps 60 21 25 23 25 30 20 21 12
Growth Rates 65% 50% 65% 55% 50% 60% 40% 30% 0%
Heaven Saint (starting), Rising Dragon (starting)
Lastly there is Tia who is probably the best unit in the game and has the best growths as well (for all the good it does to you on the last map). She is amazing in anyway, can use both sowrds and magic and has the possibility of one shotting the final boss with a lucky skill activation + crit. She is also mandatory during the last map.
