CharactersEthan Kairos
A relatively normal high-school student with an odd fetish for watches. He's a sophomore at Kako High.
His last name comes from the Greek god Kairos (also Caerus/Kaerus), the god of the "fleeting moment" and the personification of opportunity, luck and favorable moments.
Timothy Kairos
Ethan's father. Quiet, but stubborn. Had something to tell Ethan on the day of his 17th birthday.
Vanished during the Prologue.
Former holder of a Hollow Pen.
His younger self was rescued from the past at the end of chapter 5.
Pamela Kairos
Ethan's mother. If only her cooking has as much flavour as she has cheer...
Vanished during the Prologue.
Her younger self was rescued from the past at the end of chapter 5.
Derek Kairos
Younger brother of Timothy Kairos and uncle to Ethan. Has borrowed money from Ethan's parents in the past.
Became Ethan's guardian after his parents vanished during the Prologue.
Died during Chapter 4 due to unknown circumstances. This was undone when Ethan caused him to continue operating Chronos.
Went through a Hole to save Kori after she fell off the school roof.
Operating Chronos in the Epilogue with Kori.
Irving Onegin
Holder of a Hollow Pen.
Proprietor of the antique shop Aeon, and alumni of Kako High. Jack Twombly used to be his homeroom teacher.
Responsible for Derek's death in Chapter 4.
Vanished through a Hole at the beginning of Chapter 5, and that timeline's Irving replaced Jack Twombly.
Revealed to be the one who pushed Kori off the roof, and the cause for the majority of the game's events.
After Kori survived, naming him as the one who pushed her off, he left both school and the town with his mother.
Mary Onegin
Irving's mother, who died 35 years ago.
Holder of a Hollow Pen.
Revealed to be killing herself through time during Chapter 6.
Jack Twombly
Teacher at Kako High with a love for time-based quizzes.
Replaced by Irving, calling himself Jack Twombly, after Irving stepped through a Hole to 35 years before.
Fell off a cliff at the end of Chapter 5.
Vin Threet
Friend of Ethan's, and a former star of the basketball team.
Restored to the basketball team in Chapter 5 after we undid the major leg injury.
Ashley Threet
Younger sister to Vin, and a junior at Kako High.
Vanished at the beginning of Chapter 1. Returned when Ethan returned her dropped money through a Hole.
Was killed by Jack during Chapter 5. This was later undone.
Ben Fourier
Friend of Ethan's. Lives on the other side of the station.
Got into a fight with Aaron and stabbed him during Chapter 3. After the weapon was removed, he became heavily injured during the fight.
Alternately, if the pliers were removed beforehand, he instead hit his head on a rock, knocking him unconscious. After the rock was removed, he instead struck Aaron with a rock, heavily injuring him.
Morris Fivet
Friend of Ethan's. He's quite studious. Lives on the other side of the station.
Ethan revealed the secrets of the Hollow Pen to him during Chapter 3, and changed his fate, causing him to drop out of school and start a dog-walking business.
Was killed by Jack during Chapter 5. This was later undone.
Eva Sixon
The quiet owner of the Cafe Chronos, a popular hangout for Ethan and his friends.
After ownership of Chronos reverted to Derek, she ended up starting a takeout business where Aeon used to be.
Aaron Sevens
Olivia's boyfriend. Probably not a cop.
Got into a fight with Ben at the beginning of Chapter 2. Was stabbed by a pair of pliers and died. Changed to severely injuring Ben in the fight when the pliers were removed.
Olivia Eights
A cheerful part-time waitress at Cafe Chronos.
Died in a traffic accident at the beginning of Chapter 2. Accident was undone when Ethan stole her key, preventing her from using her bike.
Emily Niner
Shy friend of Ashley's.
We stole her glasses while messing with the past in Chapter 2.
Was killed by Jack during Chapter 5. This was later undone.
Sara Tenneson
Librarian at the Kako Library.
Jacob Eleven
Neighbourhood boy who likes taking walks.
Was involved in an accident due to Ethan's intervention mid-Chapter 2.
Kori Twelves
Mysterious student who appeared after time changed.
Is able to move while time is stopped, and receives flashbacks just like Ethan, though she claims not to have a Pen.
After she fell off the roof, she was pulled through a Hole by Timothy to save her life.
Was stabbed by Jack at the end of Chapter 5 while protecting Ethan.
Was saved from falling off the roof, and went on to marry Derek and operate Chronos with him.
Sox
Ethan's cat. Formerly belonged to Derek. Prone to wandering around town.
Can possibly talk and exist in multiple places at the same time.
