Part 23

Ok, that last run into the cave was just depressing. I need to go somewhere fun to give me a little pick me up.

This is just the ticket. Normally to get the good ending you don't want to mess
with Brahms until chapter 4, but I'm not gonna actually mess with him, just trash his house.

Ok I hop into the castle when...

? Yeah this place has a 4 minute time limit. Luckily it doesn't run during battles or when you change rooms, so it's not that big of a problem.

This place is littered with these demon servants. Thwy'ew lightweights though, so I push through them pretty quickly.

These bitches are just weak. I never got to see them attack because they just die too fast.

There's no big puzzle in here, it's really just a case of kill/grab everything you can before time runs out. And there is quite a bit of nice stuff to grab:

You can transmute the Unicorn Horn into one of the best staves in the game! Getting a Beast Slayer is kinda too.

Toward the end of the castle I run into this barrel of fun. He's not really a boss, but he'll do.

Arngrim equips his Dragon Slayer (just can't get enough of these things) and goes to town.

That there is a fuck-ton of damage. Just for refrence my normal hits without the Dragon Slayer do about 200 each.

We're just rollin in the exp.

I grab the last bit of treasure as time starts to wind down.

I find it strange that Valkyrie falls here considering she can fly and all, but whatever.

So that takes care of all the areas in thsi chapter. I still have about 10 periods left with which to train so I head back to Oddrock Caves ( It only costs 1 period to go there instead of the usual 2).

The nice thing about Oddrock Caves is that there are several Dragons there. I've gotten strong enough now that I can take these fools on without using my Dragon Slayer weapons. They really can't hurt me too bad, so it gives lot's of extra turns to practice knocking exp crystals out of them.

Getting better.

Getting 3x exp in a fight makes for super easy leveling. After a little training I send Nanami up to Asgard to play with Llewelyn and friends (we're getting quite a group up there now). I'll train a little more and then it's time for another sacred phase. Chapter 4 has a TON of little side areas I need to visit to get the good ending, so I know I'll be busy.
