Part 57: Turn 60 - 19th August 1944







The 3/101st are quickly captured – that's fine, they will be liberated soon.



I continue to lose hundreds of tanks in the skirmishing.



But the Germans have given me an opportunity.



Resistance is increasing down south.








Doolittle and his men get in on the Action.






I'm mostly looking to cause trouble here.



Pushing here and there to try and cause a major retreat.



Otherwise, there are no dreams of a breakthrough.






The Russian fascists don't want to surrender, so they die here rather than Berlin.



They finally see sense and another port opens.



Looks like the rapid breakthrough is over, but the infantry are catching up now.



Orleans falls, and Paris is in sight.



I reorder the front to have sane/pretty commands.



I make sure I have men across the Rhine.



Mostly I'm moving up men and making sure Amsterdam is pocketed – I also take the ferries to the north to make sure they have no chance of escaping.
