MS Saga: A New Dawn

by Tobias Grant

Part 33

Cool, thanks.

Since we're here anyway, let's stop by the local Mini G-System.

And make an extra two Double Boosters.

Off to the Unicorn HQ!

Cool, thanks.

And now finally, FINALLY, The rest of the Unicorn HQ is open to us. Time to get looting!

I've been wanting to see this guy for a long time.

This guy is the only one in the entire game that sells Hacking Tools, Repair Units, and Restorative Drinks. the Hacking Tools aren't really needed (I bought three anyway, though, just for the hell of it), but the Repair Units (which heals your entire front row for 500 HP) and the Restorative Drinks (which restore 30 TP), are very, very useful. the Regeneration Kit DX (revive unit for 500 HP) are pretty handy to have as well.

The Director of the Unicorns is inside of this building, but I want to explore this place a bit more.

First, let's check out the weapon shop.

puchased:
1 Tallgeese Shield (65 AMR, -8 SPD)
3 Large Double Beam Guns (220 ATK, 2 EN)
2 High Output Beam Rifles (195 ATK, 2 EN)
3 Double Beam Guns (255 ATK, 3 EN)
2 Grand Cannons (295 ATK, 5 EN)
6 High Power Machine Guns (128 ATK, 1 EN)
2 Hyper Bazooka IIs (195 ATK, 2 EN)
4 Beam Machine Guns (105 ATK, 1 EN)

Fuck your privacy.

Inside was a Hacking Tool and a Restorative Drink SP.

Another house contained the wife of some guy I had forgotten an old friend.

I love presents!

...
...
...
.

An ECAP (S) is hidden behind these houses.

OK, why would someone not only put a fence in front of a door, but also Barbed Wire?

Must have heard that Katz was coming to town.

This game really wanted to make sure that you got that Bawoo.

Some more hidden goodies.

While I know in most JRPGs it's generally not worth talking to the NPCs, it's worth talking to a few in the Unicorn HQ since some of them will point out a few things you might otherwise miss.

This guy here is the last person in the game that sells Mobile Suit Data.

I picked up the R-Jarja and Zaku III.

Alright, with all of that out of the way, let's go meet the Director.

what, why not?

Oh, That's a pretty good reason.

Screw you, buddy, I have 99 Zaku III and R-Jarja data burning a hole in my pocket.

anyway, eventually he relents and decides to help us.

and also gives us the level 4 keycard.

Cool, thanks.

Time to make some new suits.

Now let's pop on over to Marie's place.

Welcome to the club, Lapis.

Annoyingly, Marie is no longer at her cabin, so now if we want to change party members we need to do it at a save point.

Since I can't do anything here, Let's head off to Eisengrad.

This dude here tells us that we can go back to under Eisengrad if we want to.

Upgrading feels so good.

Katz gets the R-Jarja, Vargas gets the Zaku III, and Tremmie gets the Zeta Gundam.

Since I'm pretty sure I can't use the Dragon Fang with the R-Jarja shoulder armor, I took off the right shoulder piece and replaced it.

The Zaku-III gets some new arms and a new left shoulder piece.

So long, Shining Zeta Gundam. you were the best thing I've ever created

The Driessen is now a proper Abomination.

Anyway, Since we've got a new party member, I think we aught to take a look at her. Rezner now joins Li Fang on the bench.

Lapis here is essentially a weaker version of Aeon. She has System Hack and Funnel attacks. the Qubeley's Funnel Pod increases the damage of her Funnel attacks by 30% so they're far and away the best attack she has right now.

I gave the Qubeley some new shoulders and got rid of its paint job.

I think it's time for a status update!

Katz

Just look at that Melee stat. Goddamn.

Vargas

I've pretty much said 'Fuck it' to the way I've been equipping him so far. He's still gonna play the sniper role, but giving him all these guns will make him more useful against bosses.

Tremmie

R.I.P. Shining Zeta Gundam...

Bazuli

Bazuli has a few new toys to play with, but otherwise no change.

Fritz

Other than some new guns, no real change.

Lapis

I'm looking forward to spamming Funnels everywhere.

----------------------------------

Now that we have the Fourth Keycard, we have a bunch of things we can do, and I'm gonna let you decide on the order in which I do the following:

1. Obtain the rest of the Spaceship data
2. Finish the Coliseum and become Gundam of Gundams
3. go to Japan and obtain a few decent weapons
4. attempt the second area of Mt. Trial
5. finish off the remaining three fixed encounters on the world map.

I want you to pick Three of the above options. Once voting ends I will put them into order based on how many votes each option has gotten, and go down it starting with the one that had the most amount of votes. Ties will be broken by me.

Voting will end on Monday 12:00PM EST
