MS Saga: A New Dawn

by Tobias Grant

Part 47

While I won't be using Hal, I will be using his Sazabi.

I got two more Double Boosters and gave them to Vargas and Aeon. I also gave Vargas the Bawoo legs for a little extra EN. Now he can use Counter snipe right off the bat.

Katz got the Sazabi's legs.

Welcome to the final dungeon.

Funny thing about this place is that the layout of the dungeon is the exact same as the one on the Moon. Only except for going up, we're going down.

A thing to note about this place is that the random encounters are pretty rare. This is a huge blessing because the enemies of this place are extremely tough.

Not even three rooms in, and already we're getting fabulous prizes! The other chest contained 10 SOS flares.

I gave the Double Gatling Gun to Bazuli.

Meet our first mini-boss!

In an attempt to make the battles more interesting, I'm going to include music from random mecha shows for every red battle.

Music

Anyway, what with this being the first battle here, it's not very hard. That doesn't mean you shouldn't be careful, though.

Yikes.

Don't expect any of the enemies here to go down easily. Every enemy here has an absolute ton of HP.

Eventually, though, I come out on top.

The room that leads to the north leads to an elevator. Unfortunately, it only leads to one floor and the door is locked, so we head west...

...to another elevator. off to floor B993.

balls.

Music

This battle is about as easy as the last one was.

Chaff Field and Intercept snipe will help to cancel out most of the Hell FA's Boost attacks...

...But not all of them.

Moving on.

A neat thing about this place is that there are chests like this hidden around. So if for some mad reason you wanted to have two Gundams in your party, you're free to do so!

Music

The worst thing about this battle are the Hell Dias', since they have a very large amount of HP. They also carry both Beam and Projectile weaponry so in order to completely stop most of their boost attacks, you have to either use both Beam and Chaff field, or use Intercept snipe.

The Hell Mk. II will use Melee moves exclusively, so a Counter snipe or Barrier field renders him harmless.

All in all, a pretty simple fight.

Skip this door, since there's a treasure room at the end of this walkway.

Yeah, this is what the ultimate reward of this dungeon is! The other two chests contained 50 Full Armor Gundam data and a ECAP (L).

Back to the door we skipped...

Music

This fight is even easier than the last one.

It's amazing just how much Vargas helps in this dungeon.

Moving on.

What's a Musai doing being parked deep under Antartica?

Two more chests. these contained 10 Master Gundam data, and 50 Zeta Gundam data.

Music

This battle... didn't go well at first.

At all. I really underestimated how much damage these guys could do, and I paid for it.

On the second try, I took no chances and threw up both Beam and Chaff Field in order to prevent the Dias' from doing any damage.

And then I concentrated on the Hell Hundred (Do you see what they did there?) since he can use snipe boosts just like Vargas.

Once the Hell Hundred was taken down, the rest of the battle was easy, if a bit tedious.

Music

The Hell Zeta is a bit of a problem because he loves to use the quick lancer Boosts that can cause Short Circuit.

My advice is to hit the Hell Zeta with a System Crack while you destroy the two Hell Hundreds. after they are taken care of, the Zeta won't last long.

Moving on.

I'm pretty sure that this switch unlocks the elevator door on floor B994.

previously mentioned floor contained this. Meh.

I'm going to have to break this little trip up into three parts at the least, so expect the next update on Friday.
