Part 15: Every Single Deity in This Place Looks On Disapprovingly

Alright, let's do this.

And done!

This unlocks another drawer in the base of the display.

We've located the Metal vessel!

* Fire: GONE. Ate Beth.
* Water: In the Pharaoh's tomb
* Wax: Statue in museum library
* Ash: SEALED.
* Lightning: unknown
* Cloth: Pedestal in Atlantis room.
* Metal: Base of sarcophagus in Burial Rites room
* Wood: unknown
* Crystal: SEALED.
* Sand: Puzzle room, inside human door.
* Tar: unknown
* Jade: GONE. Ate Merrick.
* Stone: GONE. Ate Windlenot.

Above is the full panorama of the room. There's a lot of miscellaneous things we missed in my bloodlust for the Ash Ixupi...

By the lion tomb with Merrick's body, we find the Jade skull that was missing from the display case in the lobby. One theory I've read is that Merrick took it with him as a weapon for protection. Too bad it ate him.

Merrick wasn't much of a hunter, and I don't really feel I've lived up to it in his place, either. Yet.

Ixupi music is playing very loudly here. We're backing off.

Finally, we set the skull dial in here to the correct setting, then move onto the next room.

Next to the Burial Rites room is the Shaman room. It's playing very lively music, interspersed with 'gonna eat your face' Ixupi music. We'll be on our guard.

If I may editorialize, these shamans are not really doing the best of jobs with scaring away evil spirits.

Yeah, we're not getting anywhere near that thing.

Kind of neat, but it looks like Windlenot never finished this exhibit.

The green paint footprints lead back to...a suspiciously discolored wall. There's no obvious way to open it, though.

This looks kind of familiar, though.

It's time for some drumming!

Hitting the drums in the order indicated by Merrick's grafitti (from the survellance cameras) opens up the door!

As the button says, we've gained access to the Gods room.

This wood idol also wants to kill me. (I should maybe just report what doesn't want to, honestly.)

I guess Buddha doesn't. That's because he's chill. (And also because the Stone Ixupi already ate Windlenot, but I digress.)

If the skeleton has something else to share about this, he's certainly not telling me.

Man, this place is twisty.

Introducing the second best inclusion of Janus in a video game.

We'll set the dial while we're here, too.

Turning to the left, there's a little temple in here.

There's lots of stuff in here.

Bull god.

Winged lion.

And requisite 'memory' minigame. This one's actually pretty long, too.

After we successfully mimic the song, the bull's sides open up to reveal another vessel!

* Fire: GONE. Ate Beth.
* Water: In the Pharaoh's tomb
* Wax: Statue in museum library
* Ash: SEALED.
* Lightning: Inside a divine cow (Gods room)
* Cloth: Pedestal in Atlantis room.
* Metal: Base of sarcophagus in Burial Rites room
* Wood: unknown
* Crystal: SEALED.
* Sand: Puzzle room, inside human door.
* Tar: unknown
* Jade: GONE. Ate Merrick.
* Stone: GONE. Ate Windlenot.

There's only one place left to go in here...

...out the red door...

...after we piece together the puzzle, anyway.
