Part 112: Holy Knight

The only generic job left is Mime. Problem is, I really don't know mimes that well. They've always seemed impractical and unreliable, a gimmick. Doesn't help that they're so hard to unlock. I've heard that a team based around them is pretty good, but I've never tried it.

Instead of me not really knowing much, let's get started on special jobs for now.

Special Job Dissection: Holy Knight

Agrias automatically joins after Bariaus Valley's story battle.

Pros:
+Ranged, instant, unavoidable, physical attacks that sometimes inflict statuses
+Physical attacks go above (PA*WP) like Lightning Stab's (PA*(WP+4))
+All-around good stats, including above average magic

Cons:
-Low PA for a physical-focused job
-Holy Sword requires a sword, limiting ability to branch into other jobs
-Magic secondaries want MA, while Holy Sword wants a lot of PA

Agrias's Holy Knight is a really good job. She's got a powerful skillset in Holy Sword, one of the best physical commands in the game. It's reliable, since it's instant and can't be evaded. It's powerful, since they all carry WP bonuses. They're ranged, which allows Agrias a little respite from the problems of getting in melee range most generic physical jobs suffer from. They even inflict statuses sometimes.

The PA isn't that good - regular Knight has more - and her high MP/MA might not be enough to justify carrying a magic command. Remember, Agrias is a special character so she can't go on propositions, and you need a sword equipped to use the abilities, so staying in magic jobs is not quite pleasant.

Compared to the usual knights and monks, Agrias is amazing. Her holy sword may be worth it based on the range alone, but add in the power it brings, and Agrias is a fan-favorite.
