Part 75: Interlude 23 - Don't Stop Me Now


Despite the big-ass sword in his back, Funeral barely clings to life.


Ramza comes in and finds the carnage... and the High Priest.

: You know where they went? Where? Where did they go?
: Or...Orbonne...


Funeral's wounds finally get to him, and he dies, his ambitions of ruling Ivalice ending with him.


Orbonne is the final location, the end of the game. Once we step on it we begin the final series of battles.

So let's not go there yet.

At this point in WoTL a few bonus battles are open. There's one at the Thief's Fort against some Nanten guys with nice shit to steal. There's a pair in Lionel Castle dealing with Reis and Beowulf's back story with nice shit to steal.





I find Sweegy Wood's rare battle in seconds this time. This pair of archers is unique to this fight at this location.


The battle is completely unremarkable at this point.


Beowulf finally gets himself Teleport. The whole crew can blink in and out of reality now!


I haven't used these yet but having the whole team absorb holy can solve a lot of problems.


Now for the rare battle everyone really cares about now.


It's pretty mean.


We've got a King Behemoth and a Black Chocobo on our side! The enemy?


Some of the roughest, toughest monsters around at inflated levels! This is Bariaus Hill's famous giant group of murderous creatures!


Invisible characters are ignored by the AI. That's all it does. In that extra Thief's Fort battle there's an enemy with Secret Clothes and you can murder her and make her an invisible corpse.


So yeah, These guys have tons of HP so they're 2HKOs rather than the usual 1.


Oh goddammit.


This is the only hit. How lucky I am since two would kill any character I have. Hell, 1 would flatten Norma and Eldena.


And this battle begins to go poorly! Look at those guys! They're perfect for a Muramasa to the ass!


Well, I guess I won't be hitting them with Draw Out. Then explosion.

Well something gets in range of Norma. I wish it were the other way around.


Demi2's incantation.


Big guys have big HP! Leaving things half dead means Demi2 is ready to take other half really fast!


Also I don't get to abuse pockets of intensified gravity enough.


Ramza hurled an axe in the hydra's face. The situation is now stable.


Fuck it, it'll kill half my team but the other half gets to celebrate.


PARTICLE EFFECTS HELL YEAH


Look at that shit spew man.


I do get my guests and Beowulf in it, but who cares?


I get all the enemies. And that's what counts.


All that's left is the Deep Dungeon. And I feel like spelunking.
