Part 17: The Mystic Knight Rises - Episode 4

The Mystic Knight Rises Episode 4

Last time we knocked over one road block, this time we knock down another.

Mid here is lucky we haven't unlocked the Lawyer Job shard yet. Elder abuse is a real and dire issue.

Stop enabling him.

The wonderful time where you got poisoned, Lenna.

Or remembered what happened 2 minutes ago.

Everyone else has glazed over this, but every time a crystal shatters, one of these mounds vanish. We're down to one, 5 minutes to Midnight.

I forgot Mid wasn't the event-flag bearer. I hate Mid. Just that

They had to look in an ancient book to learn the secret of putting flames on something to make it faster.

Still pretty bleeding edge here. Sullla was a little higher level than this when he beat Byblos, at least comparing HP totals.

Either a double-tap to the head, or a single lightning sword will take these out.

These thunder arm pits absorb lightning, so I can't smite everyone fast and call it a day.

Corbetts are very artistic, eschewing "The End" over the foreign "Fin." They also hit like Hell, and take 3 Thundaras to take down.

Ring around the rosy, pocket full of poseys.

Ashes, ashes, we all frog down!

These guys get in the way of me and the Black Forest. Mihnwu is getting into the precarious point of the game where enemies aren't interested in taking triple damage. Selfish bastards.

HWWAAAH!

Forgot to buy this from Karnak first time through. It is one of two white magic spells that make up !Spell Blade.

These jerks silence (yawn), or blind (argh).

Couldn't I just make a bridge of my "friends"? No? Okay, let's not walk without rhythm.

Aaaany time now.

Friggin Finally. One of the things I dread when I fiesta, just a slog waiting for this jerk to show up. And he didn't BYOB.

This is about halfway in the fight. He ducked out right before Mihnwu struck.

I told you I was going to use the Hi-Potion.

Another one was used here. Oddly enough, Quicksand proc'd this, despite being a magical ability.

Therefore, Quicksand now does half damage.

And that's all.

Dad is playing hide and go seek with his daughters.

Alright, we won. Now let us join the Bombers, or the Killer Bees, or whatever you call it.

Our Right, not Mihnwu's Right.

Good thing for this puzzle the frog is immortal, and properly trained.

Bad start, but I'm determined to end it now, so I burn an elixir.

Then deal him a pair of electrical burns.

Is this going to be a thing for this? Random useless drops from bosses?

Anything else you'd like to tell us about Galuf?

Hits hard, but thankfully all the evasion gear keeps him to two hits.

4 Blizzara slashes takes him out.

Just like that.

Grab this because it gives me a green arrow.

Honestly, a very strong "meh" under normal cruising conditions. But it has its uses

Need to get some bling for the next scene, so I'm killing about 60 of these wolf packs.

Slow and grueling, I use Fira sword to heal myself when they confuse me. Picture several minutes of this, since I roll 3 of them out of the possible 4.

Round 1 - I try reckless, and run with a fire ring. It doesn't go well, as to be expected.

I'm pretty far away from getting another attack multiplier, so I switch to the Angel Ring, as was the style at the time.

Two shots each to the launchers. And an elixir to survive plasma to the face.

Without having to factor in old anymore, 10 hits will end this.

Pretty good cadence right now, just about halfway. But on the next pass, I attack one too many times, and die sloppy. I go back to the wind temple to get a couple more elixirs. I also take off Mihnwu's shield and helmet, and switch to the coral sword. Unsure if cutting equipment weight helps or not. Everything is percentile, so the only important thing is damage, agility (far away from a multiplier) and old immunity.

The third attempt, I forgo Thundara and tear right into the launchers, lay down the boom, and elixir back to full.
Able to get 3 attacks in between the first and second waves. 2 each between the next 2 waves. I switch from healing at the end to the beginning here. Then make the last push with the cannon at 128%
