Part 44: More Money

Trump the Samurai - Part 5 - More Money

Last time, Trump went bankrupt as he retrieved the Adamantite.

This is what Dragonball Z would be like if it was about mechanics.

I need a sizeable bailout before taking on the Soul Cannon, so I go murder a bunch of dogs.

So lets start with the small cannons.

Rocket launchers do a lot of percentile damage with Missile, but that's not the deadly part.

The real scary move they have is Rocket Punch, which confuses you and does percentile damage too. Since you can't dodge while confused, it's basically a death sentence.

Zeninage is the only real damage I can use here, and it still takes two hits to kill them.

Eventually, I realize I can just unequip my weapon, which will allow me to break confusion without killing myself. After being confuse-locked for a long time...

...the fists get a crit. Since crits ignore defense, it did about 12 damage, which was more than enough to finish the job.

Eventually, after all 4 sets (and no flamethrowers for some reason), the Soul Cannon opens up.

First things first, Zeninage the launchers off. This fight can be bad enough without adding Old to the mix.

Wave Cannon hurts, and since I want to save Elixirs for the other bosses, it's time for more Zeninage.

Two more hits is enough to take this thing down before a second Wave Cannon.

Ronka Ruins is a bit more dangerous, partly due to being underlevelled for a solo class.

Ra Mages are one of the bigger dangers, doing this much damage with spells they constantly throw.

At least the treasures here are pretty helpful.

Lamias are definitely the worst, being able to spam Entice as well as paralyze with Slap.

Archeotoads can also cast Pond's Chorus, meaning it's time for the RETURN OF MONEY FROG

King Dad why are you so mean

Archeoaevis is a bit of an odd fight. He starts out with really high physical defense, but thankfully crits are really good for that.

His first form is entirely physical, so he does little damage here.

His second form starts casting Frost though, which has high damage and a temporary Sap effect.

His Wing Attack also poisons, adding up on the damage over time. Thankfully this crit helps this go faster.

Third form has Blaze, which is only as strong as Frost, but without the sap effect.

Once he gets to fourth form, I decide he has low enough defense to finish this.

However he fires off a nasty Maelstrom in his last form, which would normally be very dangerous.

Another Zeninage, and he's dust.

I love the question mark bubble bouncing away as Galuf remembers.

Exdeath's voice in Dissidia is pretty great. You can just dodge forever while constantly laughing evilly at your opponent.

RIP King Dad

Oh hey there you are, how's it going?

Ronka Ruins has a bunch of sweet treasure and enemy drops, which finances me for the boss rush here.

Purobolos can be really dangerous for some classes, but Zeninage has no problems here.

They all cast Arise, but in vain.

Titan has pitiful HP and defense, so he doesn't stand a chance.

His counter Earth Shaker is all he can hit with.

Thanks, Titan.

I forgot to heal afterwards, and Aqua Breath almost kills me.

Manticore is otherwise uninteresting.

And with that, the way to World 2 is open.

I don't really know what I was expecting here.

You abandoned him in front of some random pirate cave. You're just lucky the pirates are on our side.

Next Time: A level 1 fight and sweet sweet Hi-Potions
