Part 77: Fire Season

edit: FOUND IT! It also explains how Trickers have a "Remove Penis" spell, and how MAGIC dildos came into existence...

Uleria's New Toy
I've been looking for that site for ages! Several Eurmal myths from it were posted in the last LP, including several ones based on real-world myths, and the tale of how Eurmal invented sex.

Anyway, we've decided to send some of our fine warriors off with the Wind Lords. We also get to decide how many "volunteer" for this duty, which makes me wonder how much actual volunteering was involved. (or maybe every weaponthane wants to go with the magical flying Orlanth wizardmen)

(the only person who posted an actual number before I started writing this said 3, so 3 it was! Sorry guys who were about to give away ALL OUR WEAPONTHANES.)

Good thing I have Jarolor out to get more horses! Please get back before someone raids us in Fire.

Next, I build a shrine to Uralda. Permanent Calf Blessing means more cows, and more cows is always better.

Way to rub it in, Jarolor.

At least now we're back up to full speed on weaponthanes! And if/when those three we sent with the Wind Lords come back, we'll have 19!

I've honestly never seen this type of followup to one of those "you found a trade resource. Give it to us." events before. Neat!

Okay, I can honestly say I've gone many normal games without ever getting raided by Praxians. And now this is the second time we've been raided by them! Maybe they really do hate Elmal clans more for the whole "horsefriend" thing?

And this is a draw. Praxians don't fuck around.

Devotees of the cult of Yinkin, god of alynxes, have an offer to make to you. "We have noticed that the woods around your tula are infested with many types of rodents, including a type which is very suspectible to spirits of disease. If you want to give us something in return, we can perform a ritual which will improve the hunting abilities of your alynxes. They will kill these forest-dwelling rats, freeing you from the risk of disease."

-Let them share in your clan magic.
-Offer them alynx kittens.
-Offer them goods or livestock.
-Refuse their offer.
-"We'll owe you a favor."

The cult of Yinkin is very small, and has little influence.

Although he is a cat, Yinkin is Orlanth's brother, and son of the mountain goddess Kero Fin.

The fewer fighters fall prey to disease, the better chance we'll have of prevailing during raids.

The forest is full of rats, and the dirty creatures are infested by disease spirits. We have some fine kittens to trade.

Any asking price can be bargained down.

The forest is full of terrible rats.

Their magic will last for many seasons.
