Mega Man Battle Network 3: Blue

Part 74: In retrospect, I don't think any MetalMan involvement in these LPs has ever gone without METAL GEAR!? jokes.

Overview: MetalMan is a joke in this game. He stands still for the majority of the battle, using either Metal Missile, or Metal Blade. When he uses Metal Missile, it's basically several free hits. Metal Blade is the more dangerous one, but that is only the case if there is still a Metal Gear on your side. At random intervals, he can go into your area to perform Metal Fist. This attack is only semi-dangerous, if, again, there is STILL a Metal Gear on your side. The hole created by the fist coupled with the Metal Gear can make fighting a lot more difficult. Do you see the solution? Knock out the gears!

Top Tier

: It deals great damage and simultaneously destroys the Metal Gears. Perfect choice.

: Does everything you need it to. Destroys gears, deals good damage and can actually block Metal Blade. Try and get the Custom Style rewards of the first two levels for the * code synergy.

: Given how often MetalMan stands still, StepCross can prove to be very solid, what with its 260 damage output. Though, in this particular chip's case, code trumps all. Therefore, since this game gives out StepCross in only one of each copy, I suggest you throw in only one for good measure.

: This chip is so good for this fight that I have to re-post it from the Staples section. Breaks gears, pierces invisibility and paralyzes? PLS

High-Average Tier

: STRIIKKEE!!

: Useful for gear destruction and protection from Metal Blade

: MetalMan stays still a lot, making throwing chips a preferred choice over swords. Cannonball can also be used to destroy the gears.

: For the same reason as Cannonball.

: Once again, the same as Cannonball.

: If you really want to be ready for Metal Fist, then use these, but I recommend no more than 2. Throw in too many and you aren't going to be pulling off the Slashers when Metal Fist happens. In fact, they'll just get in your way.

: Actually has a use here! Check the video.

Suck Tier

: Why do you need this to keep him still? He stays still for so long already!

: MetalMan has Super Armor, meaning his attacks won't get interrupted. IceWave also leaves MegaMan hanging for a REALLY long time, which means you will more than likely eat a hit.

: Kinda hard to pull off safely, but can be very rewarding if you do. You'll have a hard time using this over the other picks, however.

: The only reason this is not in the below section is because it can destroy gears.

Capcom Executive Tier

: Congratulations, now he can hit you and you can't hit him! YAAAY!

: I LIKE BIG BOMBS AND I CANNOT LIE

: YOU OTHER NAVIS CAN'T DENY

: THAT WHEN A GIRL WALKS IN WITH AN ITTY BITTY WAIST

: AND A ROUND THING IN YOUR FACE YOU GET STUNNED

This'll be quick.

LavaStage is somewhat useful here given that MetalMan isn't affected by the lava panels. This allows us to combo with Volcano. And for AntiSword, you'll be seeing why in the video. Zeushammer is just a troll option, considering I have no defenses to avoid losing rank. And I ignored my own advice of having more than 2 Slashers. And yes, I could easily clean this folder up to make it better, but screw that, I'm already bored.

I like how this video came out.
