Part 106: Ep. 74: Knifey Spoony (Blankety Teapotty)

---

: Last time on MySims Agents: Giant squid tea party!

---

Okay, where were we?

Oh, right.

A relatively complex lock! As we get closer to the end of the game, we start hitting more locks that require us to consider the 'key' as part of the puzzle rather than just something to clear a path for.

: Luke's display case is open again. Time to help myself to some herbal tea.

And he does.

While Luke plays with a toy surfer.

Right! On to our next stop: the tattoo parlor!

: Have anything I can borrow for a tea party?

Fortunately, since Justice's tattoos are temporary, there's no blood or ink on that blanket at all.

: Thanks a lot, Justice.

Justice goes back to flipping through his tattoo magazines and Sam updates his notes.

: I should go pick up the pink blanket on the floor of Justice's tattoo parlor.

By standing on it and pulling really hard. Not modeled by game: Sam falling on his ass.

: Now to find the all-important teapot.

To the sushi stand!

: Have anything I can borrow for a tea party?

He says, sharpening his knife at us. Chef Watanabe runs through an absurd number of sushi-related animations whenever he appears in a game; whoever was in charge of his initial development really did a bang-up job.

: May I borrow it? I promise to return it once the tea party is done.

... there really are a lot of things wrong with that speech. But, okay. Kelp!

KNIFE

y-yay

Here's some more!

And a piece over by the sailboat docks!

While Sam's out looking for kelp, he stumbles across that missing chunk of surfboard that he was looking for back before he got strongarmed into tea-party duty.

: The board is covered with some strange slime. I wonder what a forensic analysis would reveal.

Sam pulls out his phone.

: Hopefully Roxie back at HQ can identify the slime covering this broken surfboard.

bwoop

Wow, I--I mean Sam screwed that one up pretty good before getting a proper analysis!

...

... welp.

Sam says goodbye to Roxie and hangs up.

: According to the forensic analysis, something very strange came in contact with these boards.

Sam is suddenly more interested in the upcoming tea party.

Let's grab one last piece of kelp, from up here where the water is still radioactive.

: Now, I just need to take this kelp to Watanabe. That should earn me his teapot.

Sam runs back up to the boardwalk.

: Hey, Chef, I got all the kelp you asked for...

: Thank you so much, Chef!

Fun fact: there actually is a Watanabe family in the series. We'll meet another Watanabe a little later on. Sort of.

KNIFE JUGGLING

: That should be everything I need for the tea party. I should let Clara know.

Back to the beach with us!

: I've got everything we need for the tea party!

: I sure hope so. So, now what?

: Mr. Suckers is sulking by the tide pools, down past the docks. I'll head over and you can meet me there when you're ready.

And the camera swoops past the pier and Dr. F's electronade party, coming to rest on this ledge here. Full of fenergy vents. I guess we're not done yet!
