Part 6

"When I see that flash, inside it, I can see you ..."

"Strong adventurers like Edgar are usually eccentric, but you break the mold."

"Connected! Uhowoooo! Just can't get enough."

We're all connected.

Not true in practice, as I've said before.

"For example, when I go search for food, I don't need to battle enemies."

I wonder if we'll ever have to do that.

"Memories of this should be inside some of the memory boxes. Take a look inside some of them."

"but he has no intention of stopping him. Everyone here at some point will be chasing after their past. Once satisfied, they will stop. Like a fever, it'll pass. Let him be until we start forming the search party."

"He assumes his selfishness is justified."

"Instead of getting lost alone, research the memory box. There may be a hint inside."

Read the memory boxes for gameplay tips, we get it already.

I wanted to show this off because of the last sentence, "[M]ost Espers trade [skills] among each other", but unfortunately skill trading never happens in-game.

"Hey kid, give me the dirt on Edgar" is what I'm assuming Nanashi said.

"I just want to erase anyone and everyone. ... how great is the surface? The only time I feel at peace is when I'm out there battling."

If you didn't put it together already, Sammah's arsenal consists of a shit ton of erase skills.

"I understand the past is of concern ... but you need to think about things to come. It's not like we go out there to live. Nanashi, why don't you put in a good word. ... but nothing really can be done. If we had no clue it would be different, but because of that photo ... Don't you think? I can empathize. You can't even recall your feelings of love and are in pain because of that. It's a pain that can't be healed. For me, just having them close to me ... that's enough ... I think."

Maybe we'll find some later.

"He wants to widen his recipe repertoire. Care to join me?"

I really don't know what that soup-like thing is supposed to be.

Watch Delicious Recipe

"That was the first time we saw anyone in such a container."

Baroness doesn't acknowledge that we got a recipe for him, so let's go check out the memory box to see what it is.

Hmm...

DAMN IT!

"And that's why he's like that. Well, not that I don't feel for him."

We've only got two available missions, and I think you can tell which one we're going to do first.

Watch Red-Haired Woman

Tetsuya has three new missions for us, but we're going to finish that other one at Panorama.

Oh, hey!

It's just the usual cast, but I'm gonna go with Tsubutaki because we haven't really seen her in battle yet, other than that rescue mission.

Watch Distorted Sky

Now he's got four missions for us. We'll start with Paralyze.

We'll go with Know.

Watch Paralyze

Let's listen to: Arsenal (Arsenal)

Uses Invention No. 13 in A minor by Johann Sebastian Bach

I forgot to post a link to the song that plays when editing our arsenal last time, so here it is.

Three more now. another new one is available.

Watch Stray Eyes

Here's more technical info on [Pierce] attack skills and [Anti-Pierce] defense skills.

And here's information on Ommato.

Watch Patrolling the Highway

Waffle?

Here's the last one available from Tetsuya right now.

Watch Guard

"Although it's called a "search" team, no way will they let her live. I must get involved ..."

Uh.. thanks, Tetsuya.

Sounds like we interrupted Tsubutaki's thoughts.

"You can't see? That's dangerous, so dangerous! Kehehehehe. It's the end!!!"

I guess so.

"A good idea is to buy an arsenal case as soon as possible, so you can have more than one."

Ehh.. there's only one instance I can think of where I use a second arsenal. For most missions, I rely on the same arsenal I always use, probably because I always have atleast one attack for each range.

"The seeds of diaster should be plucked out immediately. If you desire to participate in the Search team, go talk directly to Meister."

We'll do that in a little bit, but there are two missions available from Cuff Button and Know.

Psychokinetic skills?

Watch Share Life

I thought this technical information might be of interest to you.

"Want to battle with Guard, whom I've taught? Haha ..."

Watch Education for the Gifted

Zing!

It should be obvious, but "the other Esper" refers to us. Now we'll talk to Meister.

"We'll evaluate you based on how well you battle a powerful enemy."

I really don't know what the sentence, "[a]n Esper ambushed us--even I was wounded" is referring to, and I don't think it's ever explained.

Watch Search Team Exam

"Disaster ... all skills ... gone. Why ..."

"The officers have no clue what goes on in the battlefield."

"You're going to let him win, aren't you? I guess if you were a friend that would be a given."

Yeah, so the last mission for getting on the Search Team pins us against Edgar.

"Doesn't it make your heart beat faster, knowing you'll be using an arsenal you improved? You'll get bored with your old skills, and want to kill creatures with your new skills. ... so what will it be?"

"mean powerful--it depends on who's using it."

"He looks forward to evaluating your battle abilities."

"Hey Nanashi, best of luck to you."

I'm sure you're wondering why Spokesman would even allow Edgar the opportunity to be on the scout team. Kajikawa has an answer for us.

"Spokesman was worried about regulations. How foolish."

Well, it's better than nothing.

It's Meister who offers us the mission.

"You're the only one who can stop him."

Important
Watch Final Selection

Next time we finish Chapter 3.
