Part 15 - Rio de Janeiro, 2047

quote:

Her name is Rio and she floods upon the sand. In this scenario, we have to deal with global warming and rising sea levels - so in other words, lots of floods. It is kind of a pain in the butt to deal with flooding, but since you haven't seen what the flood looks like yet, I thought I'd let you watch me deal with a couple of floods before I bulldoze all the coast line and deal with other problems like traffic. I think that's fair enough.

Also:

I'm not sure what I want to do with 'freeland'. I could use it to create an even larger city (and possibly approach 700,000 or 750,000 inhabitants, but the problem with freeland is that there are no gifts and disasters are frequent. So, C-Tops and R-Tops are going to be rare. I'd rather not use freeland for that.

Alternatively, I can turn the debug mode on, show what freeland looks like, then do a time compressed video where I convert Map 061 to all land and no water, and take the population even higher as sort of a 'what if we had no water' approach. It may take me a few days to piece that together though, but I'm willing to give it a go.

I also haven't displayed the Money Glitch either. I don't know if it's really important now that the debug mode beats the pants off of it.
