Part 1: Round 1 - Eight Stars

We'll be starting with something a little vanilla just to ease everyone into the swing of things. The first leg of the race runs from the beginning of the game up to and including the first boss level, Bowser in the Dark World.

Here's how this round is going to work:
- Your race begins after you select a File on the File Select screen.
- Once you reach 8 stars, you may not collect any more stars. The single exception to this is the Red Coin Star in BitDW. You may (but are not required to) collect this star in addition to your previous 8.
- Your race ends immediately after the Save Game prompt following BitDW disappears. At this point, you will have either 8 or 9 stars.
- The slowest tenth (rounded down to the nearest integer) of people will be eliminated.
